How to use PNG files in Word Processor

I've tried to do this with Microsoft Word, but the image won't open up. It keeps asking me to choose the encoding that would make my document readable..but none of them work.

Thanks for this tutorial. I do use Photoshop, but there have been times I wanted to place one of my images into a Word document and didn't know how to do it. :)
