Not saying it was right, however, it is a good read and may give you an insight into the economics driving and i mean driving the whaling of that time, it also is a great study of the people who live and work in the fringes and do the unwanted and most dangerous jobs of our world.

1. Cell phone towers set to ionize large portions of oxygen.
2 Haarp like transmitters set up to ionize large portions of oxygen and/or raise the entire atmosphere to a higher level.
