  • How do you prevent the clear coats from over lapping? do you light sand it?

  • If you roll the tape back when you mask, you won't get that paint edge from the clear coat. You have to sand the clear afterwards to polish.

  • Yeah, because you have to feather out the damaged paint. And since there was damaged paint you have to sand through the clear coat. Meaning, you have to reapply the base and reapply the clear coat.
