  • nice recipe!

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • there are a lot of things that I dont include in the final edit. I don't always include the hand washing but trust me, I do it.

  • =\

cross contamination is a hoax, something that exists in third world countries perhaps. if the meat is fresh then there is nothing to worry about.

you think chinese, indian, or other restraunts care about handling multiple meats with the same utensils and gloves? lol

  • Arjard

    Vinegar 1/3 cup

    Sugar 2 Tbsps

    Salt 1/2 tps.

    3 Sliced cucumber

    1 Sliced Asian pepper

    2 Sliced scallions

    Cilantro for topping

This side dish is like a salad help to balance strong meat and peanut sauce taste.

Let me know if you try it. Enjoy!!

  • that looks great, thanks

  • Love your food. Love you vids and Love you too Yey!!!

As I have traveled Asia a lot. I'm really used to with Salay, but if you really want to go authentic. You would need one more side dish. I'm not sure it's gonna be your taste or not, but you can try.

This is what they eat together with Salay.

  • I am Asian and I have tried many kinds of fish sauce. The best kind to get is the "three crabs" brand. I don't think it is carried in American stores, but it is definitely better!

  • I've used that kind and it rocks. It wasn't sold at the store I was shopping at. thanks for the comment

  • hey man i love the videos but there is one thing i want to point out that ive noticed alot of cooks do on you tube and thats placing raw beef were you just had raw chicken that can make some one very sick but other than that i love the videos

  • I agree, it's important to keep a separate cutting board for raw meats. These are cooked over a hot fire so it shouldn't ever be a problem.

  • How the peanut butter taste? i prefer a real crunchy blend peanut an original SWEET&SPICY satay sauce.. Come to SATAY KAJANG Malaysia.

  • I'd love to but it's quite a drive from minnesota. :-0

  • Gosh, the peanut sauce. Here in Malaysia we use real peanuts, not peanut butter. X_x

  • Guess what peanut butter is made of.

  • We normally make our own peanut butter out of nothing but peanuts. We use our vitamix and it's amazing. I'm not sure if I used ours or store bought when I filmed it. RB

  • Nice video though a little deviant of traditional satay according to my Thai friend.

  • its friggin called a KEBAB!!!!!

  • Man, this guy can't cook, wheres the carrots, lil corn, potatoes, red green yellow veggies etc.... whats with all the sauce!!! and butter wow.... Im sure it's good, but those must be the worst (Uncreative) Kabob's i've seen in my life haha, and he didn't even eat it off the burn't stick!!!

....All that said, it still made me hungry so thumbs up ! ^^

  • good but not authentic!

kabobs are better off cooked in charcoal fire,

doesnt need curry powder lemons, coconut milk, or coriander seeds!

Just marinate the meat with olive oil, salt and pepper and onions!

and put it over the fire!

    TRUST ME, I KNOW!

    IM ARMENIAN!

Me and my family make Kabobs almost once a week and we own a kabob resturant in LA!

Shrimp is not considered to be a kabob either!

Just cook the meat and rest it on top of pita bread or lavash (Armenian bread)for five min.

  • man you stole w/e you armenians see in Turkey. First of all its called kebap or kebab for english speakers. what he cooked was şiş/shish kebab because those sticks are called shish. so he can use anything(even you) on shish and call it kebab. marinating it is optional but if you add pepper at the beginning it burns and gives a bad taste. we dont usually put it not to kill meats taste. also lavash is not damn armenian bread and you are wrong on charcoal too.

  • Yum! I LOVE Kabobs!

I like the Grill prep clips too! :)

  • Rob,

Ready for round 2? I gave it a while and then came back with something interesting Dessert Pizza! I made some PizzaQ on 4th of July, Pizza on the BBQ, lots of fun! Check your view numbers again! Hope this helps...

    Jerald

  • Killer Vid Man!!

    Five Stars!!

  • I haven't made kabobs in ages...Great Vid! You inspired me to make them again

  • the shrimp ones look GOOD!

  • Yes, but where are the vegetables? Rice even?

  • Those are in different videos. I'm trying to keep these short. i have one for just on cooking broccoli on my other channel

cooking4dads. there's also one there one rice. yummm.

  • Fair enough (I like broccoli), but I'd like to hear some vegetable ideas at the end of a recipe, even if you don't cook them at the time. Such as: "try this with..."

  • Good point, check in the description. :-)

  • Is that a Rachel Ray knife I see?

    For shame. ; }

  • Great episode. Whats the difference between a Kabob and a Kabab?

  • a Kabab is a sort of pita that has veggies, meat and sauce in it.

    A kabob its this one.

  • In fact, there is no difference between kabob or kabab, it was just a translation or an adaptation of the word kabab, that for arabics is roast temperate ground meat(it is verry good). But, in America, you can say any one of those words that will mean this that you just saw.

  • Im from the UK and i think ive always called cooked meat on a stick a 'Kabab'. But i have also had Kababs from a shop that are the sort of pita things. I have noticed people on American shows saying Kabob and it always sounds strange to me.

  • Awesome job. Kabobs rule.

  • The recipe of kababs and satay is just great. I am planning on trying the recipe this weekend.

Great video and you present it well.

  • just loooooooooooooooooove that~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ super good! best cook on youtube!

  • more great stuff Rob

  • Great again Rob!Once again cooking getting simple!

A sugestion:try for instance to put some pinneaple cubs toghether with the beef(one piece of beef, one piece of pinneaple...) ,or cheery tomatoes,or small onions, some bacon,or try to mix all up!Try it!

  • mmmmmmmmm tasty

i always love the stuff you cook :D

the satay is like.... always cooked for parties and stuff

  • "Instinctual." lol. You are too funny.

I'm going to make a deal with my husband. I'll do the hard recipe if he does the easy one sometime.

  • That's a great idea. send me pic when you do it. You'll be surprised how good the easy one is. rb

  • Wow! These look awesome, I can't wait to try them!

  • what kind of oil do you use to wipe the grill?

  • i use olive oil, but almost any vegetable oil will work. thanks

    rb
