  • @techfiend94, yes there is. When I started, I was 14, had little stamina and had to practice on my own. Practicing parkour also raises your stamina, believe me. Either get some friends/find a group to train parkour with, or find a place to train yourself. If you're dedicated to parkour, daily push-ups, sit-ups or pull ups will really help you build on that upper body strength. The key to parkour if to find your weaknesses and work on them. Hope this helped, if you need more help feel free to me

  • @ezio4life99

Your never to young I have 7 year olds in our parkour group and they are great you could be greater if you start

  • ive had to teach myself everything i know, ive had no help, no support, and only recently after 4 years had the chance to get money for a trainer, so yea...no excuse ,:j

  • @techfiend94 I'm also so skinny that you can see my rib cage when I suck in and you can see my shoulder blades poking out my back when my arms are forward.

  • I'm 14 (and I'm 6'3") I'm able sprint pretty fast but I just drop dead after about 30 seconds. I'm only able to jog for about 3 minutes before I'm breathing noticeably heavier. I don't have asthma but sometimes I think do. I have such little upper-body muscle that I can pop my shoulder out and slightly pull my hand out (it's kinda gross). Thank you for taking the time to read this, is there any hope of me doing parkour?

p.s. I also have an over protective mom...

  • Look up Founders Park in springfield mo i go there BADASS

  • Doing parkour in a gym kinda place or sports hall kinda sounds stupid, yeh perfect for beginning parkour but no way to just always do it there, parkour is meant 2 be used in the open environment its just supposed 2 be like tht.

  • @megaman00000011 The only bad thing in that if you young and parkouring is that young people's bones brake easier.

  • im 9 am I to young?

  • when he said roll i thought he meant "role" so i thought on becoming a medic but then i realized what he meant

  • i'm a boy at 15 (too young?) and my cardio is bad (cant jog in 5-10 min. without breathing heavy) and i live at a countryside (wrong place?)....there is only 1 and 2 stories buildings without any balconies or anything....there is a childrensgarden here and a school....there isn't any close buildings (to each other)...it is basicly a flat area with alot offences and hills and some houses (not many) is there still good to practise here? should i quit???please answer me...from mr.notgoodatparkour.

  • @humla2000 absolutely not. dont quit, dont give up. I live in fayetteville Arkansas and there really isnt much around where my house is to do parkour at either. However, i just look for those little things that i can practice on and i dont give up hope because it seems like i cant do it. Just keep going AT it and eventually im sure you will find great places to practice.

  • @charion08 do you have to be in very good shape???good cardio???

  • @humla2000 it is easier if you are fat and round because fatness = pillow and roundness = ball. Ball = roll = Parkour

  • @humla2000 drink starbucks, all you have to do is belllieeevvveee! No seriously, DO NOT give up. You are a perfect age, do notlet that cardio slow you! Practise running about jumping ranomly. By running I mean jogging. If you are interested in me giving you those little tips then please ask. By little tips I mean how to sustain your breath, energy and confidence. I am not good at parkour myself to be honest.

  • @LeetCrafter ok...i would gladly get to know those tips of yours...please....i now really want to do this.....

  • Hi

When is a good age to start parkour?

  • @Quacko69 teens onwards since it helps a shitload in co-ordiantion, self confidence and conditioning during these prime development years

  • @ydogTheOriginal Okay.

    Thanks for the answer

  • @Quacko69 Any age. I'm almost 17 and in only decent physical shape but I still practice. I get better all the time, even though that means I'm just learning how to do a front-flip over a powerbox.

  • @metalgear523 Hello!

Thanks for the answer :) I would have started, but there is no team, or people who do parkour, cloce enough for me.. :) But thanks for answer!

  • @Quacko69 You don't need a team. You can do it yourself. Here's something: show your friends how cool it is to get them interested :)

  • @metalgear523 Yeah.. but it isn't cool to jump around alone, when i am noob..

When, or if i get started.. then it will be cool to jump around and play cool :P

But there isn't any good spots where i live.. but when I grow older, i can move to a big town :)

  • Kong vaulted that garbage can

  • sooooo cool how you look 16 but you have the beard of a 30 yr old!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!

  • There's no one here where I live that trains Parkour! D: And my mom says "get back to real life!" What real life?!?? She thinks I can't do it. >:I -_____-"

  • @IraLive1 I bet u can do that dude.. and no offense, but your mom sounds like a real bitch.

  • Comment removed

  • @IraLive1

bullshit! go out and do your own thing. Humans were born to do Parkour since the Stone Ages, indians, etc.

  • @MrHuge411 lol stone ages! XD

  • @IraLive1

haha well you get the drift XD

  • I don't think david belle should get credit for "inventing" parkour. Im pretty sure parkour has been around for a long time, and no one person invneted it. But i guess you could credit daivd belle for "recognizing" what we know today as parkour...

  • He seems a little nervious... ^_~ jk Really helpful

  • omg i live on long island, new york like out east of the island. theres like no people that know parkour that live near me. i know theres many people in new york city that know parkour... but i dont want 2 travel all the way to NYC. me and my friends really want 2 learn parkour. Any help?

  • @MATTROCKS555 I feel you. :/ I'm also on Long Island. It's a shame that there's no one really around here...

  • @pioshfd five star gym teaches parkour

  • i think parkour is great for keeping kids out of trouble because of being bored.

  • you know im only 11 and im doin this stuff and more

  • do you need to roll between the shoulder and the neck or more under your arm?plz tell me .I suck in parlour and if i want to do something right ,is it the roll

  • i believe the french military does parkour :O

  • @cooldude1014505 actually no the french army like most armies have so much equipment on they can barley jump the only armies possible of doing parkour are america germany some asian countries and russia

  • @cooldude1014505 Well David Belle invented Parkour and he was a French soldier so i guess maybe they do :D

  • @hoang1428 his father was a french soldier and invented the basics, david just improved them and used them in lissés...

  • I didn't know that there was a parkour group in Portland. I live nearby. Too bad I'm not old enough to join... :(

  • FREE running?

  • yeah you are right CubaRicanBros it really pisses me of too,it even pisses me of more when my parents say that.

  • It rly pisses me off tht some ppl in this wrld r against parkour!!! Every time somebody says somethin like "hey, get down from there" be sure to tell them that they cannot stop the the freedom of movement!!!!

  • @CubaRicanBros DEFINATELY!!!!!!!!

  • Somewhere around here, a policeman noticed some kids doing this and actually set up a club for them in a local sports hall with pads and mats and stuff - which I thought was pretty cool. Keeps the kids out of trouble and stops them getting nasty injuries when their learning.

  • i wish a cop did that where i live

  • Yeah, would be nice but maybe if you and your friends got together, you could rent out a hall and buy some mats or something? Dunno...

  • @10000Monkeys what makes it fun is the chance of injury! :D

  • @10000Monkeys even if this is old your wrong parkour is trained outdoor, indoor is only flips , rolls only in winter you go indoor for parkour summer is outdoor

  • but this can hurt i think

  • Nice area, wish I had that for practice grounds :L

  • I'm a beginner aswell :0

  • i just sarted but i didnt start so good lol

  • this all seems very helpful in evading police capture :D

  • Or it could help police officers catch bad guys ;)

  • Haha, ive never seen a comment with so many thumbs up =DD

  • LOL *blush*

  • i saw one with over 3000

  • you've got a point... plus i think parkour/free running is illeigal in pensioner places?

  • Parkour and free running arn't the same thing!

  • yeh i know that... im just sayin that parkour AND free running are illiegal in pensioner places

  • yeah just checkin lol

  • Damn straight they aren't the same thing!

Parkour= gettin across an urban environment as fast as possible.

Freerunning= The expression of movment on and over various obstacles.

  • TRUE DAT!

  • its not only urban its getting from point a to b as fast as possible

  • parkour is getting from point A-B fastest,

free running is more of ur emotion, and physical art,

for eg, if ur goin over lets say a wall mabye, shoulder height, in parkour u wud do a vault, but in free running, u might get ontop, nd do a flip off of it

  • its not illegal, why would it be ilegal to run??

  • @metroidgoodsuit fa sho

  • @ccm800 i did that

  • @ccm800

I'm sure the police would just pop a cap up your ass

  • @ccm800 It was made for it too. Or remade, whatever

  • @ccm800 Did you add this comment before or after your prison sentence?

  • @Carathio Muahahahaha! They'll never catch me! So before...yeah.

  • where is dat place @?

  • that place looks really god for parkour!

  • Great stuff!
