I liked the long hair idea too, but I think this performance has a much stronger and clear message. I think it is absolutely spectacular.

It's almost bitter sweet, gaga loves her fans so much, and they love her so much, but their love is all consuming. She is bound to them inextricably, yet must forever maintain a removal and distance from them to preserve the mystery of GaGa.
