  • Great tip! I don't know why people keep trying to mention other things that is not the focus of this video.

  • Jeff, I notice in all your short-game shots that you keep your stance square to the target line, even for bunker shots and flops. Conventional teaching is to open both the clubface and the stance for such shots. Does staying square reduce the effective bounce? What is the advantage to either technique?

  • As it relates to trajectory in the short game many factors apply. Club selection, ball position, club face position, release type, speed etc. This video is only meant to discuss "one" of the many things players do influence trajectory on their shots.

  • get what you mean... but you should have also talked about the follow through or finished position. during the drag you stopped almost immediately and during the throw, you had an almost complete follow through

  • incorrect way of thinking about it bored guy...

  • Surely, all you have done is open up the face on the second shot?

  • Great comments. Should ball position change?

  • Keeping the ball back in your stance will encourage a lower trajectory while moving ball forward will tend to add more loft..

Also aiming left of the target with your body while keeping the club face square to the target will also encourage more height. This is also known as an open stance. :)
