What went on in the holding cells was inexcusable. 40 people in a cell for 15 max - toilets without doors - barely any water given out - people had to beg for food - women strip searched by male officers - if they spoke out they were threatened with sexual abuse - many people passed out - diabetics denied assistance for many hours. Basically concentration camp conditions. The police should be brought to justice. This is supposed to be civilized western democracy not Afghanistan.

What went on in the holding cells was inexcusable. 40 people in a cell for 15 max - toilets without doors - barely any water given out - people had to beg for food - women strip searched by male officers - if they spoke out they were threatened with sexual abuse - many people passed out - diabetics denied assistance for many hours. Basically concentration camp conditions. The police should be brought to justice. This is supposed to be civilized western democracy not Afghanistan.

They are a patsy created by the police in order to justify there actions. In many videos and stills you can see that the Black Bloc are wearing police standard issue boots. All brutality from the police was targeted at the innocent peaceful protesters that were in the designated protest area.

And the cops clearly were ordered to allow it to happen. And you're right about choosing a big city. They do that SO that they can have these problems, justifying the security contracts. How else would they fleece the government for Billions in 'security' costs. That's BIG MONEY, and big money takes no chances.

I'm not saying everyone was an anarchist. i'm saying that such images of destruction clearly played into the hands of those who benefit from such large 'security' contracts. Can you imagine if they had spent that one Billion and there was NO NEED for it? Woulda looked kinda wasteful. Good thing there were some anarchists there just in time to torch a car left unattended while hundreds of riot cops stood by 20 feet away.

@taylorscan How does that refute my observation that the cops just stood around and allowed a highly organized splinter group to create multiple photo ops for the media, so that it could justify a one billion dollar security budget and the mass arrest of 'peaceful' protesters the next day?
