  • remember, this is DX9

  • @techie103 Okay?...

  • @MinimeDrummerBoi I just don't want people to think this is DX10 and try to compare it to DX10

  • @techie103 Cool story bro

  • Ok, I need some help with this. I was planning on get 2 ATI Radeon HD 5970 2GB.

1.) Does that mean if I get 2 cards I will have a better Picture?

2.) And 2 cards with 2GB each will work together as 4GB?

3.) OR SHOULD I JUST STICK WITH 1 ATI Radeon HD 5970 4GB, SINCE 4GB IS OUT NOW?

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ONE, AND ABOUT HAVING 2 CARDS WILL IT GIVE A BETTER PICTURE? Thanx

  • @uphill248 Unless you're playing along the lines of 2560 x 1600 or more, 1 5970 is more than enough. Picture quality depends on the game settings and your monitor. Ultra high settings on a 5970 looks no better than Ultra high settings on a 5850 or so

  • @LazyAshinGuy when you said 2560x1600 is that in the game option, or on the monitor? and what about my number 2 question, does 2 cards with 2gb mean 4gb? please help me before i order my new pc. thanx

  • @uphill248

That's the resolution of the game/your monitor. I suggest you research a little more before spending that much money.

Yes, since each card is 2GB, having the 2 5970s' CrossFired will add a total of 4GB. However, that amount is atrocious if your monitor is small

  • @LazyAshinGuy someone told me it doesnt work together as 4gb. I'll do more research thanx.

  • @LazyAshinGuy Crossfire and sli do NOT double the memory, it doubles the available bandwidth and processing power. For example 2 cards with 2gb each do not double to 4gb. What happens is both sets of 2gb handle the same info so its twice as fast. So if one card has 100 gigabytes of bandwidth then crossfiring the cards will give you 200 gigabytes of bandwidth. Think of it more like this, you know how some cards have a 256 bit bus, it would make it a 512 bit bus but still only have 2gb of ram.

  • @greyfoxzero I know they don't physically share the memory. Each memory is still separate and operating by themselves. It was just the general idea.

  • lol i have an ati 3850 and the same fps :))

its not that great at graphics :P

  • @razvy94rmx Yeah? Record a vid with fraps and post ur results, we'll see about that :)

  • @UnknownSoldier2011 yes i didn't count the fps on this video ... my bad :D

  • Does anyone ever read the description...

  • dude! make a test with win7 or at least vista to get the dx10 experience. lets see how the fps will hold out! awesome game of choice. played this game with a crappy pc:

    amd x2 64 5000+ 2.6GHz

geforce 9200 (an IGP which sucks)

    3gb ram

been playing at all low settings and 640x480 @ a 22" LCD widescreen. downright sucks. ~_~

planning to upgrade to at least a higher tier of gpu but limited to 250w of psu.

i think im getting an ati 4550. hope it would help bring some eye candy on.

  • A 4550? If you plan on gaming, even decent games I'd at least save up for a 5750 or 4850. That card is just for watching basic movies.

I don't have Windows 7 or Vista. That = money in which I don't have a job right now and concentrating on school.

  • umm theres a thing called piracy. but its up2 u though.

  • *Cough cough

    See my updated videos....

  • lol is it pirated?

  • Not really. More like the full copy but burned. With automatic command serial key input.

  • @naruto952532

If it's pirated, why he's in Steam?

  • @skynord1995 i dont have any games bought but i have steam and i can log in ... sucks to be you and stupid too .

  • hi, i think somethings wrong with my pc. ive got:

    evga 9800 gtx+

    3gb ram

    core 2 quad q6600 @2.4 Ghz

but i get only 60 fps, what problems could there be?

    btw I play at 1680x1050

  • Make sure vertical sync is off.

  • dude ...on those settings...did u enable the V-Sync ?cuase if u did ...the fps won't go higher than 60fps

  • Man,Is it safe if I OC my graphic card?

  • If you don't know what you're doing, I recommend that you don't mess with it.

Make sure you do some research.

  • ya its safe... just ask if u want more info

  • Great video man. Today I'm looking at your videos and man awesome recording. 5 stars =)

  • Thank you for pointing that out.

  • uhmmm... i get like 140fps with an 8800gts and 16xHD AA turned on lol

  • Obviously you didn't read the description.

  • Sooo..... Doesn't that defeat the ENTIRE purpose of filming a test with your new graphics card...? What's the point...

  • The purpose of the video is to let the people know what kind of quality you're getting at these settings etc.

If I were to record this with a camera, the quality doesn't do it justice.

  • wtf....i have about 60-130fps with geforce 9600GT lol

  • I know when recording with FRAPS, the FPS`s get down between 10 - 30 FPS in 30 FPS quality and now see the video you can get it a very nice performance. But you need change your OS to Windows Vista (whatever version you need or youlike) for 64 bits and you performance grows ups in a 25% and activate the Vsync, the game will look more better.

  • I'm waiting for Windows 7 (retail version) to come out.

V sync caps at 60fps and it mostly just for preventing screen tearing. Putting V sync on this video wouldn't prove much since I'm capped at 60fps. However, when actually playing, sometimes I do v sync to stop screen tearing.

  • what your hd4890 brand???

    sapphire,xfx,etc.

  • Read the description.

  • 4890 kills this game wiv everyfink maxed 1680 x 1050

  • i got 75fps whit my hd 4670 whit 2xaa, v-sync and super high setting

  • You can try "Google".

  • I do 380 fps on all 4 steps of the benchmark with my 3870x2 .

With v-sync enabled at 75 hz it gos 75hz all the time .

I noticed you have some very bad lag in this video .

First of all UPDATE your Intel driver to the latest , defrag your HDD, Check if your cpu need or not some thermal gress and thats you got enough memory .

Now go in your BIOS and enable your graphic card boost and dont touch any thing about RAM。

  • First of all, I don't have an Intel processor. Second, the lag is due to Fraps. In addition, it was the first time I started Fraps on the game. If I started earlier, it would've run much smoother. I defrag my hard drive everyday. More thermal paste = bad. And I'm sure I have enough.

  • defragging your hard drive every day isn't good for it. you're effectively pulling it apart and putting it together again, it puts the disc under more stress shortening it's lifespan and your programs never get a chance to settle in the cache, you'll get better performance from it if you do it every week or so. just a tip 0_o

  • Yeah I'm starting to defrag once every 2 weeks or so. Thanks for the tip.

  • if you could get ssd drive you wouldnt need to defrag virtually anymore, and should gain some performance , expecially in loading..ye i know the price for ssd are still high

  • I get 200-450 fps

  • That's nice.

  • i get 18-20 fps am i nice ? :)

  • No, you're awesome :)

  • THANKS now i feel better with my 7600gs nvidia and.......i can't see what else in there........my case is filled with DUST........is that a spider living inside ma pc ?

Hmmm this is a sign that i should assassinate my piggy bank and do a hardware upgrade.

  • I pwn those FPS with a average of 150 FPS LMAO

  • I get Core i7 @ 4 GHZ with HD4850 and 6GB DDR3 Memory. I might get a HD4890 soon

  • Why are you commenting like twice?...

  • How does your 150 fps pwn his 170?

  • wtf he don't even get 170 on his video! And I don't have my HD4890. I will post my FPS when I will get it, hopefully soon.

  • learn to read the description

  • Read the description. I had Fraps running at the moment. How else would I record it..

The FPS doubles without Fraps running.

  • but still I have a HD4850 and get the same spect. The CPU does lot of things in Benchmarks. I will have my HD4890 to give you what will I have.

  • That's great..

  • nice rendering for your computer!

  • I get around 175-250 running 4890 at 950/1100 with an i7 920 clocked at 3.7ghz

  • i get jst under this fps with my 250 gts and amd x2 5000+ with 1280x720 with 16xqAA

  • I just run the Benchmark on exactly same settings and resolution, my score was(average FPS) : Stage 1 :146 , Stage 2: 105, Stage 3: 210 and Stage 4: 106. My Spec are:

    AMD Athlon 7750 Dual-Core Black Edition @ 3ghz

Gainward 4850 golden sample goes like hell 750/950

    2 GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066mhz

    320GB Maxtor Diamond Max 7200rmp

    Windows Xp Professional SP3 32bit

Was that good enough for my Spec :)

  • Sounds excellent.

  • Imposible!!! i have 120+FPS in my Computer n with Ati Radeon 4890..!!!!

    I'm Serious!!!!

  • Err read the description..

  • I think my 4850 run this game better than this..My benchmark have never be lower than 60FPS with super high setting + 4AA..Same like yours..Maybe Fraps make it slow or DX9 make the FPS drop below 60FPS..

  • Yes I mentioned that in the video. I get 70+fps with Fraps running and 155 - 170+fps without fraps.

  • *in the description

  • Well, in that case my man, I see that the stock 4870 runs at 775Mhz CORE and 950MHz RAM. You have said you overclock but I ran my benchmark at 1280 x 1024 x 8AA all super high settings and was getting average of over 160 on some of the levels.. Check out my benckmark result on my vid.

  • It's probably your E8400. Clocked at higher speeds. In addition, specially on your resolution, it's more CPU dependant rather than GPU. What you start to raise the resolution, the GPU kicks in much more.

  • I was getting a lot over 120 fps on average in all scenes. Stock 4870.

  • Well there isn't really anything special that sets the 4890 apart from the 4870 other than higher clock speeds.

  • I would check out my video for this exact benckmark with a 4870. Something's not right if this is the 4890!

  • 155-170fps? That's quite a lot.

  • para mejorar los parpadeos constantes te conviene activar el vsync

  • Man What Monitor you have and You have XP Or Vista ? If have Vista try Maxim Rezolution AND DirectX 10 :) Becouse with my Phenom 2 940 no OC and ATI Radeon 4870x2 Full Rezolution and DirectX 10 give me 59-60 FPS :P .Man Witt what Program you have Register your desktop ? Bye

  • I'm using Window Xp Professional 32 bit.

  • AHA :) Try For that Monster Card Windows 7 or Vista 64 Biti ! Becouse your Monster PCU is made for 64 Biti ! Enjoy and have a nice day . Bye

  • Nice :) Bravoo Great Movie ! Nice PC & FPS :)

  • Thanks!

  • i got my 720 up to 4ghz but i had to raise the voltage alot and my room was warm as it was i was just worried that my heat would have no where to go and make my room way to hot ihave a xero BTF95 cooler and it has never gone over 45c even at 4ghz gpu still runs pretty hot tho

  • Sounds pretty impressive.

  • Nice video and good fps. I get max 160 fps in dmc4. What voltage have you set for your cpu when you overclocked it?

  • I don't remember but it's around 1.5 volts I think.

  • My cpu is at default 1.35 volts. I've also stress tested my cpu and it got around 54C°/129.2F°

  • With the stock cooler?

  • Yes, with the stock cooler but I'm gonna buy Scythe Kama Angle cpu cooler because I think it's a little to hot with 54C°/129.2F°. How hot does your cpu get on load?

  • 65 C. Anything in the 50's is pretty good already.

  • Wow 65C° is pretty high. I read that when it reaches 70C°+ the cpu will shut it self down to protect it self from overheating. I think the stock cooler makes to much noise when it's cooling the cpu when it reaches 54C° so I'm gonna get the cooler I mentioned.

  • I guess the temps. on CPU's don't apply to GPU's. Yeah I've checked and most people say 65 is a little too hot already. I might get the CM Hyper 212. As for right now, I might have to under clock it or lower the volts. Is there any way to turn on the speed fan on the stock cooler? My stock cooler is pretty silent. Rarely makes any noise.

  • Yes in the bios there is a category called pc health, there you can turn of cpu fan controll, it makes the cpu fan run at high speed all the time.

  • Alright, I'll see if that helps lower temperatures.

  • is it worth getting an 4890?

compared to the price and all that

  • Compared to the price of..?

  • compared to its own price

also, im standing between the choice of two pc's

    one with a 4890 and a AMD x4 940 processor

while the other has a GTX 260 and a E8400

they both cost the same(for some reason)

im quite sure the ATI card is the most powerful...

  • Go with the 4890 definitely.

  • yea.... had kinda figured that out :P

but is it a good card?

    is it good for games?

can it run at high resolutions and still get good average FPS?

  • *Looking at video* obviously it can.

  • oh yea, right... didnt see the part with the options menu -.-

    but still..,

have you tried higher resolutions? :)

  • My monitor only goes up to 1440 x 900. This card should be great for a resolution of 1680 x 1050.

  • ok^^

looking forward to getting one :)

  • Why no crysis?

  • You know, I am busy with school work..........

  • Instead of devil may cry 4 you should just do crysis no one cares about devil maycry 4

  • That's your opinion. If you don't like it, don't watch.

  • The reason I ask is cause I have vista home premium an I want a garunted controller that works

  • I'm using xp though.

  • cool cool..hey what type of controller are you using

  • Logitech RumblePad 2.
