  • There is no way to ever know the heart ache and struggle others endure unless you walk in their shoes. However, we can have compassion and love for everyone--regardless of race, sexual orientation, or religion.

  • Beautiful, absolutely incredible I love it.

  • "I've never used electricity, so I imagine it is really very hard for me to do that."

  • Honestly, the most moving, real, genuine thing I have ever seen. I felt privileged to watch these people. Thank you.

  • the best documentary i ever watched

  • This was amazing,i just say this today

  • Great film, really inspiring stuff. The narration by Nicole Kidman was also very well done. There's something about her, whether it's her flair or beauty, that really mesmerizes me. She's got a new film coming out called "Trespass" that looks amazing. Can't wait. bitly. com/qN22Cm

  • @Dercommandingofficer hey! ur lucky you born in america,,

  • This is when us americans realize that we can't take what we have for granted. People come from all over the world with nothing to this country and suceed. Alot of people that are born here in the united states go nowhere because they take their opportunities for granted while others risk there life just for one opportunity and make the best of it.

  • Amazing! These new imigrants will undoubtedly contribute greatly to their new country, America. Tracking their progress should be a lesson to indiginous citizens. They come to their new home, expecting no special treatment and with no attitudes of victimization. Also, please note that this entire journey was made possible by the never ending blood lust of the "religion of peace".

  • This is the cure for world hunger and poverty. GO WHERE THE FOOD IS!!! Watch the "Sam Kinison world hunger video."

  • And I want to thank National Geographic for creating this film. I thank you from the core of my heart. <3

  • The best documentary I've ever watched . Period.

  • I am blessed to have some Sudanese men as neighbors. They have been the most polite and respectful people I have met. In a neighborhood where everyone is looking out for themselves. After working two or three jobs, I often see them helping people with their laundry, picking up trash and engaging in 'football' with the children who are left outside unsupervised by non-caring parents. These gentlemen are a blessing in our community.

  • race warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Absolutely amazing film

  • I can't even begin to explain how much I love this movie.

  • @SLUbermensch its just helps me sleep better knowing that they have a better chance. the US may never see the hardships like those of this gentlemen's homeland and i would never prey for any group of people to have to witness hungry, genocide or war in anyones back yard. i have just saying... no disrespect.

  • I must admit I did not know how good this film was when I choose to watch it on Netflix Streaming. It was 2 in the morning and a wanting a decent film to fall asleep to, little did I realize this film would captivate me and keep me wide awake till 4 in the morning. This film has everything, it shows times of sadness, genocide, togetherness, excitement, happiness, willpower, and everything in between. Some points of the film are even hilarious. Please watch this film, it will open your eyes.

  • @KATOMATE01 '' and a wanting a decent film to fall asleep to,'' .

What you wrote is contradictory as hell dude ...

  • @Omari54 can you not read? the first sentence "I did not know how good this film was when I chose to watch it" then, " It was 2 in the morning and a wanting a decent film to fall asleep to". Reading comprehension my friend. The point was that I THOUGHT it was just going to be some decent film I'd fall asleep to, but THEN I REALIZED it was really amazing and "little did I realize this film would captivate me and keep me WIDE AWAKE till 4 in the morning" are you mentally challenged or something?

  • @KATOMATE01 It makes no sense saying that you want a decent film to fall asleep to because If It is decent you will eventually stay awake to watch it.

Learn to make sense in your sentences before calling others mentally challenged you retarded light bulb changing bitch.

  • @Omari54 HOLY SHIT YOUR A MORON...dude I really don't know how I can explain it to you even more simply...a two year old could figure it out...I WAS EXPECTING A FILM I WOULD JUST FALL ASLEEP TO......THEN WAS SURPRISED WHEN I REALIZED HOW GOOD IT WAS AND IT KEPT ME AWAKE......again....I didn't know how good it was, so I clicked on it (thinking it would suck and i'd fall asleep)...but was shocked when it kept me up all night because it was so good. Just admit you read it wrong the first time idiot

  • This movie is much more than the trailer suggests. I often feel that the celebrities producing narrating these kinds films (Brad Pitt; Kidman) come off as narcissistic and pretentious and are a turn-off to watching them, but you hardly notice Nicole Kidman's voice. Watching it you also forget that the celebrities want you to know how great they are. That's how good the story is. This movie is about the people and not about America. This is a human-driven film and it's one of my favorites.

  • I don't know why but I absolutely love the DVD cover for this movie. Great movie, too.

  • very powerful video im very inspiring by them !

  • I want to watch this. But first, I must read "What is the What?"

  • You can watch this on Netflix instant and they also have the whole thing here on youtube. Everyone should watch it. :)

  • that's true though, we do call Pepsi Coca Cola in Africa, and all toothpaste is Colgate, even Aquafresh.

    lol

  • This is an extrodinary story of human endurance and hope. Also a story of inhumanity. The give and take of different cultures and their effect on the peoples that live within them. I cried and laughed.

  • I love the unity that Africa has with theyre villages..That is something to strive for in American communities

  • watching this in history so sososossoso touching i love it

  • This movie motivated me even more to join the Peace Corps...and to think that people are willing to destroy other people because they don't like them and that innocent people are involved, especially children...and to think that they felt forgotten...I love this movie.

  • @JeyBell24 me too, i have not seen this movie yet, but i'm studying International Development and Human Rights, I'm planning to join the Peace Corps, do a volunteer first. Its good to know there are people who want to help others, but you are right, its hard to believe that there are people who are willing to kill innocent people. The innocents are never forgotten and will never be.

  • This has to be my favorite documentary EVER. It made me laugh, cry, and inspired me to go out and help people. We are blessed and lucky beyond belief, so we should help others in the world. It's bigger than we think. The innocence of the men in this movie was so cute and made me laugh. I'm happy for them, and I hope things just keep getting better. :)

....I think I'm gonna join Peace corps someday, hahah. I'm pretty passionate when it comes to this stuff.

  • i wish have their innocence. i remember the time when i first moved to US.

  • made me laugh. made me cry. brilliant documentary.

  • It's great to see these guys perspectives and views.

When we let our prejudices aside it's really amazing what we can learn from each other.
