  • Do you think all of those things combined have enough nutrients to survive on? I went to the doctor yesterday because a company I applied to requires a physical, and decided it was time to take the lifestyle change seriously. The scales said I weigh 267 now. EEP!

  • @lnsertCleverName Of course, although it's not ideal long term since you'd be missing out on other important nutrients. The idea is to eat a wide variety of fruit & veg throughout the year so you get a wide variety of nutrients & antioxidants. I have a friend who survived on yogurt & raspberries for years because she was very sick & that was the only food her body could handle at the time. The key word is survive...but the idea is to thrive. There's no better time than now to make a change. :0)

  • @rawsynergytv Well, I mainly meant survive because although I am making the transition, I haven't really found a lot of vegan stuff that I like yet. But I like most of the things in that porridge. However, apples make me gag for some reason, I dunno. Maybe it's the texture. I can drink apply juice, but I don't like apples. Weird.

  • @lnsertCleverName Give it time & your taste buds will change. Whole foods that you're not typically drawn to will start to taste good. You may never like apples but vegan foods will start becoming more appetizing as your body detoxifies & your taste buds return to their natural state. My husband always hated broccoli & avocado until one day he loved them!

  • Wow, you and Lori, both from So.Calif...just like me...I've now been on a slow transition from a vegetarian diet to a raw vegan diet, for about a year now, but I was mostly vegan for decades anyway, what I've discovered is that I've forgotten more about holistic health then pretty much all of the youtubers put together...I like Lori, she's great...you're of your own special dimension though because you bring a level of sensitivity, humanity, kindness, beauty, art and grace that is very special.

  • i'm really enjoying this channel! i used to be a raw foodist and i really miss how i good i felt! when i was pregnant w/ our 1st child i didn't have anyone to take me by the hand and be sure i was eating "right" for two. i foolishly went back to cooked (crap) food. currently our familydoes fruit fast 2x a week and we are all loving it! praying we get back to nature again and one day we can all be raw together =) thanks for the encouragement =D

  • Love this! Thanks :)

  • similar to something i make...same ingredients, but i put the apples, dates and cinammon in a food processor until finely chopped, then i add it to a bowl of bananas that i mashed with a fork...my whole family loves it :)

  • I love you channel. It's so relevant. Keep it up!

  • thank you!! thanks for the recipe!! <3

  • Hi Alicia! What a pleasant surprise it was to see you post this video! I was just coming into the kitchen to make breakfast so the timing was perfect. I included both cinnamon and vanilla powder along with the banana, Golden Delicious apple and Medjool dates and made it in the food processor (although I have the Vitamix as well). The texture was consistent throughout and of course it is delicious! Thanks for sharing your delicious meal ideas with us. I am extremely grateful for all you do.

  • Yay!! Thank you Alicia! This will be a staple in my house ;-)
