The player died from over-exertion of the heart due to excitement. This was confirmed in 3 post-mortems. It seems hte goalkeeper hit him but he had nothing to do with it. That being said, RIP.

The goal keeper did kill him , he was running at him with a punch and the victim was was running faster not knowing that the keeper was going to hit him. The goal keeper should of been charged with manslaughter. RIP

Il portiere non c'entra niente. Ha cercato solo di svolgere il ruolo che gli è stato assegnato. Magari ha esagerato, ovviamente non dico che il portiere non ha nessuna colpa, ma che nessuno ha colpa. Un attaccante cerca di fare goal, mentre il portiere deve impedire che esso accada. Quindi non potete incolpare nessuno. In pratica, non c'è stata nessuna regola trasgredita, poichè tutti stavano giocando correttamente. Spero che questo povero ragazzo riposi in pace.

@gazz12345a This is football. You gotta go after the BALL, not the player. Dive on the ball, kick in the player's legs or do whatever you can to stop the "BALL". You don't go jumping on opponent's chest to stop the freagin ball. The replay shows how stupid is this goal keeper who neglected the ball completely and jumped on the opponent player. You do this sort of shit when the player is trying to make a goal with his head.

The player who died was Cristiano Junior, 24. He collapsed and died moments after he scored a goal and collided with the opponent goalkeeper. Cristiano Junior played for Dempo Sports Club from Panaji, Goa. The Mohun Bagan goalkeeper Subrata Paul was banned for 2 months
