  • Mountain Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew

  • How sweet to trust in Jesus alone! No man can trust Christ without God's mercy and grace (John 6:34-44 and vs 64-65, Titus 3:3-7, Eph 2:1-10, Rom 9:11-24, etc). Jesus died for sinners, was buried and rose again the third day according to scripture(1 Cor 15:1-4). Trust in him alone for salvation and add nothing to his completed work. (John 3:18, Acts 3:19, Titus 3:5, Eph 2:1, Eph 2:8-9, Rom 6:23, Acts 4:12, 1 John 5:10-12, etc). Without Christ youll go to hell. (Rev 21:8, Luke 16:19-31).

  • My favorite hymn.!!!!!!!! Brings back some wonderful memories. Thanks for posting.

  • Is this statement true? ~ "God is Love is Jesus is Love is Love is the answer Is." ~ If ~"God is love."~ as it says in 1 John 4:8 and 1 John 4:16, then ~"Jesus"~ is also ~"Love"~. And if ~"God is love. "~ and ~ "Jesus is love." ~ then ~ for me ~ "Love is the answer." ~!

  • I sang along to this, one of my favorite old hymns. And guess what? Love lifted me! A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

  • I enjoy the hymns we generally sing in church today but some of thes old hymns touch me because I remember my mother singing them when I was a child and some my school principal would sing along with the whole school.

  • @fredc723

These old hymns were written by Pietists. I come from the German Evangelical Protestant Church (similar to the Hutterites who chose to homestead rather than live communally in a colony).

The German Evangelicals would sing German hymns from the time of the Reformation and hymns like this when singing English hymns.
