  • Why is it I can never find any Chicago CDs? :/

  • A-Men- One hell of a song!!!

  • Good bye Doug

  • Possibly the best haircut I have ever seen.

  • ॐॐ

  • @sagsagleo I have brains too.

  • I broke my tooth listening to this song.

  • Saw these guys on the Boston Commons in the mid-70's. Oh takes one back

  • im 17 and I have this song in my iPod. makes me wonder how was it in the 70's.. i love that era!

  • Comment removed

  • Of all the tunes of The Peter Cetera era, this was the one that had the most heart. It's too bad he's no longer a part of the band. Oh well...

  • sweet 1970s an unforgotten post-modern era.

  • Just never get bored with this song............

  • That aint a mullet...its just good feathering.....Where is Tery Kath in this song..1976...he boycotted it, I guess.

  • @rlawton002 I have watched this video recently on the reruns of TOTP on BBC4 and thought I spotted Terry briefly at the end of the instrumental section. Checking on here and I think I am right and it's him at 02:04. Mainstay member and songwriter Robert Lamm also is largely absent, but I think it's him at 02:00 on keyboards.

  • @sct353 It IS Robert Lamm. I think he and danny were having fun. Terry looks very sad - I think he was supposed to sing this, and that makes me sad. I never thought I'd see strings on a Chicago song, but oh well...a lot of people seem to like it.

  • @rlawton002 Terry is next to the trombone player Jimmy Pankow ,in a a black suit. Danny was hiding behind the drums after they showed Robert.

  • I like this song and band and singer, but all I'm sayin' is that's gotta be the most ferocious mullet I've ever seen.

  • simply put this song is one of the most defining songs of the 70's. period.

  • a love like ours is hard to find; how could we let it slip away

  • awesomee!!!!

  • The Super Seventies !!

  • Love this song but can anyone tell me why I can not find any single song from Chicago on Youtube right now cause of "copyrights problem"?

  • always known this song but i was reminded of it recently when i watched Three Kings-brilliant film and an ace track.

  • Better than the studio version.

  • Classic song 'cause is so true

  • It's always been a nice one to sing with on the road . . .

  • butters sang this song the best.

  • ilo

    ilo

    ilove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So nice to hear brass and all too rare.

  • Isn't 70s cool. Long brushed hair, baseball jacket, girl with Afro hair playing the violin. Wow!

  • OOOooooooOOOOOO

  • I cant get the image of butters from south park out of my head oooooooohhhhh

  • never leave YOU!!!xxxx, makes me cry this song !

  • i wonder what it would feel like listening to this song in a elevator

  • man ,just love this song !!!hits the spot ..!!!l

  • Still sounds great after 35 years!

  • Like if you're here because of Tim Hawkins - Technology

  • JUST KIDDING

    IT ROCKS!!

  • BORING!! YAWNN

  • Only a few voices like Peter's.

  • im only 18 but i listen to everyting, and iy hurts listening to this song, i loved her soo much but she changed, she became something else and left me, for awhile i didnt know what i would do. til this day i she still haunts my dreams and a occasionally a memory of a time when we were happy would pop up and it feels soo real, this song reminds me of all the times we had and i still question if everthing we said and did were all lies and fake, but it was so real to me, its hard to move on

  • so beautiful

  • My favorite Chicago video from 1976.

  • the best song of the history supermega feeling

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written ;-). There are a few of those I think :-)

  • @TheFredulator ....pissed at being older???? HELL NO! No money in the world could make me want to be a kid or teeny nowadays. I am so darn glad I was born back in the days and not in the past 20 years. I'm not all that old, but surely wouldn't want to be a kid or teeny today. You all got some problems to solve....I wouldn't want to have to deal with the shit going on right now, when I was young. Pray for yourself, because it is very questionable if you ever get to reach my age.

  • Una cançó maquíssima.

  • Butters !

  • stop that shitty intro song, pls!

  • Butters :)

  • este som de violão é demaissssss, vou apreder toca-lo.....que bela música

  • esste som é oque tem de melhor, ainda vou apreder a tocar violão ´so para fazer este som.demaisssssssssssssssss

  • simply the best !!!!!!

  • I'm still glad that CHICAGO is still going strong into its sixth decade (1960s, '70s, '80s, '90s, 2000s, and 2010s), but CHICAGO lost its heart when Peter Cetera left, its spirit when Danny Seraphine was fired, and most of all, its soul when Terry Kath died.

  • Emotional staple --5 stars--Da hisida

  • I love Chicago and I love this song it can remind you of whatever you want I simply love it!!!!!!

  • Just don't get sick of this song

  • I think it's funny that it's from '76 because I was just watching That '70s Show with my mum who was in high school in the 70s.

  • this song is so addictive

  • @chiqinay100 -- addictive for sure, but only this version, sung by Peter Cetera, the composter; versions by Bob Lamm are lame. BTW, this version from Bill Cosby variety show.

  • I cant picture Peter Cetera with long hair like this!

  • I'm a huge Cetera fan,but he looked liked a shaggy dog in this video(I do realize it was in style).Regardless the best music ever wasin the 70's.

  • First time I heard this song was in my grandmother's car, sitting in front of the grocery store, waiting for my mom to come out. It was a bright sunny day, in the mid-afternoon, and I was 5 years old. It came on the radio. At the time, I thought it had a really haunting sound to it.

    I still like hearing it.

  • That's one mother fucking large guitar Cetera's playing

  • Well what can I say. I feel like I know this song all my life. Another timeless hit that will be with me till the end. You can tell Peter Cetera put his soul into it. A true masterpiece!!

  • so very nice.

  • This song reminds me of the "Prom" episode of Sex and the City.

  • Was my 1st husband and mine song. Every time I hear it, it reminds me of him and of a lost love and a huge mistake.

  • Look at that hair style Peter Cetera be rockin!

  • The world honestly doesn't care what age you are and howmuch you like older songs, i must admit that i don't like todays music but i'm sure that there are enough people that do. You are in no way unique or cooler by listening to something older, so stop being a fucking hipster and enjoy whatever you want to listen to.

  • there not

  • I'm 17 and this song is awesome! Haha..I don't like the music these days..The 60's-90's music is the best.. :D

  • @MMoosicc this is neither 80's nor 90's...

  • @acninetyfive95 What? I said 60...60-90

  • sometimes back to the old days There was some good music

  • Vengono a Roma tra pocooooo!!! vado a comprare i biglietti di corsa :)

  • un clasico, buena musica del recuerdo

  • Reminds me of my time at the US Army Signal School, Ft. Gordon, GA., 1976-77. It was a magical time when we only hypothesized about things like PC's, windows, Yahoo, and YouTube. We were still dealing in 88-column cards and mag tapes!

  • i agree with you kaldemover im 13 and i like this music from the 70s and and 80s and so on but i dont like the music thats here today its CRAP

    xxxx

  • @luciebabezzy There has ALWAYS been good and bad music (yes, that includes today). Don't let your parents brainwash you. Just listen to music you like.

  • @luciebabezzy you know they knew how to make music back then cause it was ALL LIVE not made in a studio and remixed out on stage!! KUDOS KID!!

  • @luciebabezzy

yep, music goes back centuries. if at 13 you are tired of the mainstream and finding your own way, then all power to you. I was about 12 - 13 when I found my own way too and here I am 30+ years later and no regrets.

Pete Cetera and Chicago are quite exceptional. If you like this sort of laid back stuff then maybe try the brit band Electric Light Orchestra.... there are parallels....

  • @luciebabezzy this is kinda shit too tho...

  • @eveDjakku no is not your face is kinda shit too

  • I remember this as from and excellent Bill Cosby TV special (Remember TV specials?) Chicago were at the top of their game with their "Chigaco X" album. Proof, of course, is that this was, I think, their first ever U.S. prime-time TV appearance. Heck, they even played this song live, in front of an audience. (Remember "live and in front of an audience?")

Yes, the '70s were a depressing time, make no mistake. But it did contain certain real gems. This was one of them.

  • @arkady714 Great Chicago footage! However, being an audio technician & live mix-down engineer, "parts" of this performance were done "LIVE" & other parts were rolling on a pre-recorded track. Indeed Cetera's vocal was LIVE, but his guitar playing was a sync. The great horns were LIVE, but the keys, drums, percussion player & especially those "cool & hip" looking string players in the back were syncing to the pre-recorded track. Not to blow wind out of anyones sails here, but just an observation.

  • @BolsaChicaRadio Thanks for the info. No, it doesn't blow the wind out of my sails. As a music fan from those days, have grown accustomed to pre-recorded crap, used to for effect or to reduce cost. In '78 I saw ELO on a tour where they were actually sued. Though the band did appear on stage, the vast majority of their sound came from pre-recorded tapes. They'd lost millions and the outcome actually set a legal precedent as to what did and did not constitute a "live" performance.

  • Warm as this song is, and so different from many angry songs from the same year, including Punk, it's sad how the posts on here are stuck in the nostalgia and sludge of that late 70's era. Perhaps recognise what was your heyday, and that songs like these evoke memories from back then, but move on.

This is great stuff, but in a serious easy-listening, guilty pleasure sort of way.

  • @basher1956 So what the fuck do you listen to? Lady CaCa, Justin Beiber, Hannah Montana and Jay Z? I'd rather listen to great music, great voices, and real live instruments than fluff pop, crap music, autotune and synthesizers.

  • j'adore,merci pour cette viidéo

  • When we wake up to the truth of life, inspired music like this will emerge and flourish again, and all the uninspired crap that people call "music" these days will fade away and be forgotten. Search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says to learn the truth of life.

  • 44 people had the biggest part of them takin away.

  • 44 people don;t know real music

  • This song always reminds of Butters from South Park. :P

  • @NASNIPmangco0l fuck you buddy why does every dip shit that watches a dumbass movie then says this song reminds them.how bout everytime i hear that shit i think of puking on your fuckin face.

  • @ojicreewarcry clean your moutb out

  • @ojicreewarcry Everytime I see someone like you on the internet, I wanna chop my dick off to eliminate the chance of worsening the world by spawning a dumbfuck like yourself

  • @caelanwhite pulveris to prenatal, only still borns fuck....guess you've heard that from your parents(brother and sister) once or twice.

  • @ojicreewarcry Everyone has different preference in life. If one thing reminds you of something, that's cool. This song happens to remind me of that particular cartoon character, which i REALLY LIKE. So if you think my preference to certain things isn't "good", that's cool. But you don't gotta tell me in such a rude freaking way.

  • lovely

  • I agree with causeandeffect81.

  • Peter was in "Little Danson Man."

  • Quite the fluid description of love. This song is painful and beautiful, for so many reasons...

  • @TheFredulator It's "you're" NOT "your", dumbass. LOL

  • is this a live version ?
