@GallifreyGirl No, it isn't. There are clearly two extra syllables. He's saying that's he's had to make a drastic change in his life, no matter if it was chosen or forced upon him. I see it as moving from a place that is usually considered paradise to something dreary and cold. You could take it literally or metaphorically: happiness to depression. Considering the album art, both are valid.
@221bk Thank you. Mr Cope's lyrics and music are quite special to me. I've only known of him for about a year and haven't listened to every album yet, but there are many songs that stick in my heart and become an obsession for me over days and weeks. Very little of his work is easy to listen to though. It takes a bit of knowledge and a lot of understanding to be able to feel what is being conveyed. These songs relate to many things and open up vast new interests to be explored.
