  • why is kevin playing acoustic, you cant even hear that shit

  • Mullafro!!

  • Soooooo 80'issssh.

  • Can you say white??? hahahah

  • Este tema te alegra la vida !! Excelente banda y legado de buena musica

  • ...And he drives up in a MERCEDES BENZ... HA , HA , HA always liked that line because i've always wanted a MERCEDES BENZ.

  • 1:39 Oh, yeah--that kicks ASS!\m/

  • Man, they seriously ROCKED.

  • Neal Doughty did a fantastic job on the keyboards................Don't cha think?

  • @wotare Oh yes he did. And still does, to this day

  • Gary Richrath was THE man of Speedwagon

  • yep gary with them 1 time would rock

  • Had Richrath stuck around, REO would have been at least as prolific as Aerosmith through the 90's.

  • gary richrath !

  • come back to wisconsin.......I missed you in my b-day 2004 :(

  • best band ever and still is.. love u Reo Speedwagon :D

  • Kevin Cronin KILLED REO when he kicked Gary out. & REO has been nothing but a cheap 3rd rate act since.

  • Saw them in Toronto. Was molested by a gay man in the washroom at the show! I told the police but they did nothing!

  • That's a Great Song!

  • gary made that band!!!!

  • "Please bring back, Gary Richrath!"

  • Saw them back in the early seventies at the Arena here in Lewiston Maine, and although I saw many many concerts in the seventies. I will never forget that guitar player 's performance, really incredible. Oh man, I would have those days again .

  • OMG you can only listen to 3 chord wonder bands so long. If it wasn't without G, C, and D then these guys would have no songs. All their songs have been banned from airplay in Canada for 20 years.

  • Without Gary Richrath there is no REO. Just a cover band! No one they didn't have anymore hits!! The chemistry left when Gary left!!!!

  • Seen them in 83 in Kansas City. Cheap Trick was the opening act.

This video is exactly as I remember that night. Timeless music for sure.

  • Every person can relate to almost every song that they sing at one or more times in their life, and I think that is one of the things that keeps REO timeless.

  • I saw them in 88. I like them a lot, but they are not my favorite band. It was THE best concert I have ever gone to though. The energy they all had on the stage was incredible, and they were having so much fun performing for the audience. The audience fed off of that feeling as well, and it was a kick a## concert. I would love to just sit around and listen to a jam session of theirs.

  • This came out the year I graduated high school. Same year AC/DC's Back in Black came out. 1980

  • I wish so badly I could have grown up in the 80's and seen all these amazing bands play their arena shows and done all the shit my mom tells me about. Unforch, I wasn't even born till '87. I do remember dancing in front of my mirror to this when I was about 8 though.

  • @heartsthatbleed87 thats the story of my life born to late :)

  • they were hittin on all 8 in this concert.....

  • he sounds so awesome in this concert :)

  • I love REO!!!

Got to see them in 2004 in Fond Du Lac WI.

    Amazing live band!!!

  • He drives off in a Mercedes Benz------- PRICELESS!!!!

  • This performance is the definition of "having a balls to the walls fun effing time!"

  • Excellent video!! Now that's Rock and Roll at it's finest. REO Rocks.

  • Is liking Reo speed Wagon and only being 14 good or bad?

  • @alanrivas100 good

  • @alanrivas100 R'n'R has no age... whatever thrills you is great... When they tell me that I like old fashioned music I always answer... what about Beethoven!? The only music stuck to a calendar is the one that fades away cause nobody remembers it. So keep on enjoying Reo !!

  • @alanrivas100 Gotta be a good thing - mature taste dude! stay proud of it!

  • I missed them on this tour. Saw them supporting Tuna, 9 Lives, and Wheels are Turning. Very underated live band, but they put on an amazing show.

  • Amazing, his voice sounds exactly like on the record. Not too many do.

  • I know they stil tour and I will always respect their music, but I always had a problem taking them seriuosuly anymore without Gary. One of the greatest and underrated guitarists of our time.

  • NAM TRIP I was also there,X3 times I have seen them

  • REO's music is timeless!!

Still sounds as fresh today as it did bk in the 80's

    Love em!!

  • So sad to think pride and addictions can destroy such a phenominal band like this...:(

  • Man no doubt.

  • cant deny garys talent

  • fantastic REO!

  • The very first concert I went to was Reo ~ and I have been a huge fan ever since, can't count the number of concerts of theirs have seen.

  • :28.....hilarious!!!!!!!!

  • Richrath rules!

  • @1danrobbins Hell yeah, Richrath rules!!!

  • like the song but the vid quality is poor, cant hear the thing!

  • REO are one of our guilty secrets:)

  • Holy scary 80's Batman...Wow, embarrasing on so many levels.

And we all thought we looked good.

Global warming is a direct result of all the hair spray used at that concert.

  • lol! =)

  • his hair is amazing (talkin bout cronins)...

  • You got that right. Be we all thought we looked so cool. That was when i had giant rock start boots.!

But it never ends. Look at the way some kids dress today. In 20 years they will look back and think.. "Did i really go out in public with pants around my knees?"

  • love the outfits! =)

    specially the beat!

  • Still gets me that during Gary's solo they were not on him...

  • Kevin Cronin dressed cheesy even by 80s standards.

  • He's hot ooh!

  • worst hair ever... they look like my Aunts

  • Gary is hott...

  • I dont understand wy ary left? he said once him and Kevin were like Lennon/ McCartney they didnt get along too well but that made them create better music bcs of the competition!

(Cant remember the exact quote but similar to this).

anyway we miss them and miss good music now for decades.

    thanks for the post.

  • @Matey3 Gary was thrown out for severe alcohol addiction. Major alcohol related problems for years, really sad actually - an incredibly talented guy.

  • @Rondack17:

Thank you for the info and also for resending this link since it's been a while. I enjoyed this vidoe all over again lol.

I hope he is well now. If the people knew what sort of evil creatures profit from alcohol and drugs etc, they would never touch any of that stuff.

It's a matter of principle, ppl must never help their sworn enemies.

well this isnt the place for this kind of talk, I know...lol but our country /future is at stake

we are all victims 1 way or another... thanks

  • Yo Matey 3....??

    Evil creatures profit.... ? WTF

Do you mean all the beer companies ..

Hard booze.......etc are to blame for peoples addictions? Not to mention all the coke, meth and heroin pushers !!!

Addicts are addicts my friend. Everyone has an addictiion to something .... It can be food, religion, violence, sex. drugs. music ...etc....Good people make good decisons ... you must be one of the good people ....

  • richrath is monter player!!

  • WOW !! love this song !! great band !!

I saw them recently in concert here in dominican republic....EXCELLENT !

  • i want kevins blazer

  • @trdguy82 I like Kevin's pants! LOL

  • This has always been one of my favorite REO songs. They are sounded very good in this video of it too. Thanks for posting it.

  • Yeah MikeRambo, I liked "Sweet Talking Stud" better too!

  • love this song

  • Hi-Infidelity, Paradise Theater, and Escape were THE records to own back in '81-ish.

  • yeah and journey captured too.ahh to be 20 again

  • sounds really good, never had a chance to see these guys when this record came out.I was about 7 but always liked the record,Good musicians and song writing was very good.

  • I love reo. This brings back memories of the good old days. I wish just once Gary could jam with them again. It would be priceless

  • @genesee84 I was lucky enough to have caught them live in Jacksonville,Dam what a show they could put on,one of the all time greatest heavyweight bands ever,

    Dam were thy great.

  • I've often wondered this about bands: why do they sometimes change a word in the songs at different concerts, like Cronin is doing by saying "sweet talking dude" instead of saying "sweet talking stud"? Other bands seem to do this as well.

  • Kevin Cronin changed it to "sweet talking dude" back, as far as I know, in 1989, during the final months Gary was in REO.

  • Shitty coverage of the guitar solos.

  • Saaaaweeet!!

    Me fav REO song!

  • Thanks anchelicht for your post.

Since 80's I like a lot this song. Now my son likes it very much too.

  • they're so fucking amazing!!! ^_^
