No, I don't think youtube money'll make you rich, even if you have a lot of views and subscribers. Most of the top youtubers have other ventures that make them money and youtube is only one of them. I believe you can make a decent living off of just youtube alone but i don't think it'll make you rich. Youtube can help make you rich as long as it's connected to something bigger, like a website/blog where you sell merch or your own art or w.e. it also opens up the door for tons of opportunities

You can't become "rich" as such, BUT if you're a very popular youtuber example shanedawson, raywilliamjohnson, tobuscus etc you will make a holsome price per day. And NO you don't just get paid for ad views, Views per video and subscribers :)

Just an fyi: Partners aren't paid just for ad clicks (I, too, mistakenly thought this for the first few months).

Most money will be generated from your actual number of page views because ads are displayed everywhere and technically they're being seen by viewers. Viewers hardly ever click the ads.
