Maybe it is not so much of a surprise that the Canon 450D features a 3 inch monitor with Live View. What is a surprise, however, is how well Live View is implemented. It truly is a joy to work with...
To enable live view all you need to do is go to menu and go on the second yellow squere and there will be abar saying live view function settings press set on it and click on enable, then go back to the home screen and on manual press set again to switch it on and off. Hope this helped :)

live view mode has sometimes have to be set via your menu, goto menu/my menu settings/register find live view function settings select ok, then go back to main menu and look for live view function settings and enable, now you can select any program and hit the set button for live view.
I still don't understand what is Live View shooting? what is the difference between that and a... normal shooting? e____e please expert photographers, explain me.
@Thewaterofthepool@Thewaterofthepool SLR's usually didn't allow you to view what you were shooting on the LCD. They have a mirror in front of the sensor that redirects the image to the viewfinder so you can see through the lens. the newer cameras have this option, the mirror and shutter open up so that you can see the image is projected on the sensor and you can see it on the LCD... compact cameras don't have this issue as they don't have mirrors in from of the sensor
what camera was this video taken with? in the menu show at 1:34 my 40d only has 7 menus under the FnIII: Auto Focus/Drive menu... How can I enable/access the menu shown (af during Live View Shooting) b/c right now my camera's set to quick mode and I want it on live mode
Yes it does, i have this camera and use it daily. What are you talking about? Are you aware that 1000d = Canon XS? Same camera, both point and click using liveview.

Live view is in the custom functions (C. Fn) menu. Number 8 in the menu. You have to be in P, TV, AV or M mode to access the CM menu.
