  • Yeah listen to s1urq, I mean just look at the wealth of knowledge they have contributed. LOL

  • Arse Hole Jarrod up to old tricks

  • Ignore this idiot he hasn't got a clue

  • Lulubelleita, I am familiar with the test but I highly disagree with the dogs scoring and I stand by what I said. Many a dog has passed these tests with less than desirable temperaments. And fyi the dog sired a litter of 10...very sad that someone chose to breed such a poor example of the breed.

  • And what comes to the other comments, am not breeder so am not advertising any puppies on based on this test or any other issues either so no need to worry lol and sorry if you feel that am doing bad work while having a stafford as an active hobby dog and doing agility, obedience, lure racing etc. with them and sharing these experiences with others.

  • This current dog did get points below :

    CAPACITY TO FUNCTION +1 MODERATE

    TENDENCY TO AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR +1 LOW WITHOUT ANY POST-ATTACK AGGRESSIVENESS

    DESIRE FOR DEFENCE ACTION -1 INSIGNIFICANT

    DESIRE TO FIGHT +2 MODERATE

    NERVES +1 TENDENCY TO NERVOUSNESS

    TEMPERAMENT +3 HIGH

    MENTAL HARDNESS -2 SOFT

    ACCESSIBILITY +3 KIND, ACCESSIBLE, OPEN

    SHOTS: +++SECURE TO SHOTS

  • SHOTS:

    Secure to shots +++

    Unfamilar to shots ++

    Aggressive to shots +

    Disposed to shots-

    Fear of shots--

    In order to pass the test a dog has to get at least +75 points and positive rank from tendency to aggressiveness, nerves, accessibility and shots.

  • 7) MENTAL HARDNESS +3 Moderate +2 Hard +1 Tendency to softness -1 Extremely hard -2 Soft -3 Extremely Soft 8) ACCESSIBILITY +3 Kind, Accessible, Open +2 Accessibility, Tendency to Reserved Behaviour +1 Flattering -1 not accessible, reserved -2 aggressive -3 insidous

  • 1) CAPACITY TO FUNCTION +3 Extremely high +2 high +1 moderate -1 low -2 insignificant -3 negligible 2) TENDENCY TO AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR +3 High without any post-attack aggressiveness +2 Moderate without any post-attack aggressiveness +1 Low without any post-attack aggressiveness -1 Low with any post-attack aggressiveness -2 Moderate with any post-attack aggressiveness -3 High with any post-attack aggressiveness
  • Will tell you and all the others more of the test if someone is interested.

    Test can be done to any breed and the dog must be over 2 but less than 7 years.

    The mental test does not test intelligence. It tests character and how a dog stands against the character of the breed as a whole. The purpose of mental test is examione a dog's behaviour in a situation where it's nerve system is heavily stressed.

    Test is judged and view in 9 different scales and following markings are possible:

  • Actually Bobby is my dog and I am very proud of him.

  • I know that the test is an even less thorough test of the ATTS offered in the United States. I also know that many a dog has passed these tests with shall we say less than desirable temperaments.

  • Disheartening to say but I can't fault you anymore or less than most others breeding these dogs though. You should take a bow or curtsy for being part of the true downfall of this breed. Well done!

  • Tell me, when you are advertising your puppies do you say how they are bred for temperament? You base temperament on points? LOL Have you ever heard or read the description "Bold, fearless and totally reliable"? Last I checked it was not "Bold, fearless and totally reliable when not trembling with fear and pissing on itself.

  • Well, putting your ego to the side for a moment...if you do not find your dogs reactions to be embarrassing then I must say with complete honesty that you really have no business owning or breeding these dogs because you are totally clueless as to what these dogs should be.

  • Actually it is not embarrassing. The dog did get good points, thought he is a bit soft.

    How much do you know of the test and the areas it is judged?

  • How embarrassing. I hope that dog is never used in anyones breeding programs.
