What is the BTU of your fireplace? Natural gas has 1000 BTU per cubic foot. A Therm is 100 cu ft of Nat Gas and is the minimum billing unit. I pay about $1.25 per therm. So a 25,000 BTU/hour fireplace would cost about $0.40 per hour of operation (check my math).
It costs about $8.00 per month for each pilot light that you have burning.
Although I have a slightly different fireplace, this was very helpful in getting my fireplace working again - thank you.
