I appreciate the track the most when both Waters and Gilmour do their respective vocals. Waters: " Hello..is there anybody in there....ok just a little pin prick" Gilmour: "There is no pain ..you are receding...". Some effect of these lines and of the track isn't there when either one is absent. What a pity! This was probably their last show together.

I think he is. When people name guitar greats, they usually name Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, etc etc. There are a few that list him, but people tend to forget his name with the other greats. They also forget that he was far more influential, in that he along with the rest of the band, created an all new guitar sound, that is still used today (The Mars Volta).

David Gilmour is an exemplary musician. His timing, his tone, his simple authority on stage with regards to the music are second to none. I saw Pink Floyd's Pulse tour in 1994 (unfortunately without Waters) and it was a a PURE example of production perfection. Waters is a great lyricist and offers some musical cues too, and Gilmour is a great musician and offers his own lyrical cues that cannot be forgotten. I only wish to see both together again as their artistic union is unparalleled.
