  • Hylian Ensemble should do a remake of this

  • this remind anyone else of the Sky Temple music in TP?

  • You shouldn't have done that.

  • @kooozle what's with the "you shouldn't have done that"? where is it from?

  • @lilchris9cmb It's from this thing called Ben Drowned, which is a creepy version of Majora's Mask. There's this whole story that goes along with it, but basically it's just a mod. A pretty well done mod, at that.

  • This is the best version of the Forest Temple music I have yet to find on Youtube. The ingame music sounds way more scary than the ones you can get from the soundtrack!

  • this temple scared the shit out me alot more than the shadow temple

  • "look this corridor is twisted!" YOU DONT SAY????

  • To tell you the truth, when I was 5 I didn't really find this THAT relaxing, especially those bastard wallmasters.

  • Forest Temple, favorite one of the whole game, was confusing, scary, and mostly crazy.

Always afraid of the "things from above"

  • @MrBoyinthedark This game created my nightmares. I remember being less than ten years-old doing the bottom of the well. Right when I encounted the Dead Hand, I paused to game to call my friend and say, "I'm doing this shit, man!!! ='(]"

  • Me in OOT3D: oooo oooo oooo oooo oooo oooo

  • Oh the great nostaliga

  • small comparison note

the forest temple here resembles more of a temple while the one in twilight princess resembles more of a forest

  • @MBlueFlame I'm pretty sure they are called Forest Temples because they are located in forests.

  • that doesn't have much to do w/ what i said

  • Is there a way to download this on my phone. I want it as my ringtone :)

  • I love the picture in this video :P I am going to get destroyed in this dungeon in my LP

  • This song did scare me a bit when I watched my brother play it and I when made it to this level, it made me think that there was a ghost playing an accordion or something. Wickedess part is when you climbed the stairs to find a poe in a portrait and she disappears before you figure out that you have to shoot it.

  • Reminds me of Run DMT a little, awesome

  • Comment removed

  • M83 made a song out of this, I swear!!!

  • This song sounds so scary. Maybe that the reason why I like it.

  • If Zelda ever comes onto the 360 or PS3 i'm buying the second it comes out.

  • @ItZzTaZ hell yea thats wat i was sayin before

  • @ItZzTaZ ahahaha joke right? that will never happen.

  • @ItZzTaZ it never ever will. It's a nintendo game and it always will be

  • every time i play this temple in my mind keep the song of this temple... then i turn off the console and kept hearding it in my mind ..... then i revise the console if it is on ... but it is off ..... i think this temple want me to become squisofrenic .....

  • First time in forest temple:

Entrance: "What's up with the creepy music?

*2 minutes later* Ok, I guess it's no saria's song, but it's ok, I suppose...

*1 minute later, starts to hum along with the song* doo do, doo do, doo doo doo doo...

  • This and sky keep from skyward sword will forever bee the most atmosphereic dungeons

  • I think the music is more ominous than mysterious. Although it's called the Forest Temple, and it is in the forest, the temple itself seemed to be an old castle. And the castle theory explains the stalfos and the poes. Plus, the voices in the music make me think of some kind of warriors in battle, and it's kind of freaky.

  • This, and Stone Tower Temple are my favourite dungeons of all Zelda games I played, the music has something misterious, I'll never forget the first time I played the dungeon, I got stuck because I didn't picked the very first key (the one in the first room), so I had the music in my head for weeks :)

P.S. The Water Temple is not that difficult, I don't even need the Zora tunic XD

  • [0:57] :)

  • Enter the temple and music starts

ME: Shit just got seriuos .-.

  • Favorite temple of all in Zelda history.

  • @MarcSylex yeeeeeeeessssss!!!!! :D

  • This place almost made me go insane. I'd rather do the Water Temple than this place. Heck, any other temple other than this place. The music didn't help. However, I loved the design visually, how it's this huge mansion that was abandoned and now the area is being reclaimed by nature.

  • @ItachiTenshi ah, fuck no, man!! Water Temple is hard as SHIT!!

  • scares the fuck out of me to this day

  • This whole dungeon was, to me, definitive of how I imagined the original game would look and sound like if it was "real". Needless to say, this is probably my favorite Zelda level from all of the games combined. It's so good.

  • i love this haunting theme

  • Man, loved OOT. Wish Nintendo would make a CG-based LOZ tv series someday with the look of the characters from Twilight Princess only with today's CG technology like Star Wars Clone Wars.

  • I remember that Sunday night, walking in this temple for the first time and saying "oh yes, things just got real!"

  • I still remember this music, I don't remember any other time where music is what caused me to stop playing a game for a short time.

  • This doesn't sound very familiar....

    00:16 ahhhh now I remember.

  • My favorite temple song. It used to creep me out as a kid... and even now on a cold, stormy night. Still love the beat and rhythm though. Sounds very Mayan-ish in my opinion.

  • 1:02 ...... that music part made me freak out

  • sounds like sonic adventure ice cap zone. lime caves

  • @supersonicdrawer agreed!

  • I used to get far in the temple, but then i took a wallmaster on the face

  • @lemecdlabeauce

If you travel my way... there are ways you can get thorught he temple much faster without using ALL the jkeys nor visitng ALL the chambers (Not a cheat)

  • First time a wall master grabbed me I almost crapped my pants!

  • @papermariodude101 trollface.jpg

  • Amazing song, it creates such a mysterious atmosphere, making you feel so alone.

  • I love the Forest Temple. Probably my 3rd favorite in the series.

  • The best temple is Zelda histery. Why do people think this is creepy? I can't see it. I think its amazing.

  • @Eatmyassproductions Hear the hum through everything? Ghosts Wailing.

Hear the shaky notes going on in the background? Bones rattling.

Hear the high-low note pair that gets louder and louder? Ghosts laughing.

The song is designed to be creepy in my mind. I certainly think it is. I like it too though. =P

  • @RandomMagus Nope. I just imagine talking a stroll through the woods watching the wildlife while this plays. A glimmer of light shining through the trees.

  • @Eatmyassproductions and then the wall master pounces.

  • @Noidnes Just look for the shadows that easy. I still can't see why people are scared of this temple.

  • love this.

  • Bottom of the Well and Shadow Temple didn't feel scary at all to me. But Forest Temple made me incredibly anxious. D:

  • One of my favourite TLoZ dungeons

  • this music is really trippy!

  • i hate this temple even more than the water and shadow temple

  • I want this as my ringtone.

  • Super scary as a kid.

  • I found it scary too. I had a hard time with this temple, and it was not because it was difficult but because of the music. I like it a lot though

  • @o0Condrag0o Sorry. But how does the music make this temple hard for you?

  • @gameaddict51 No, it wasn't more difficult, I'm just saying that the music made me go careful and I was the whole time freaked out expecting a hand or a spider to fall from the ceiling haha

  • Dear god, this song was so relaxing and freaky at the same time... Somehow it always managed to stay calm, maybe even let you lower your guard, until the perfect moment that it could just climb up your spine and and haunt the darkest corners of your imagination. Dear god this song was freaky....

  • @anxez i agree, this music had me on edge through the entire temple. I just knew something was going to jump out at me.

  • when i was little this song freaked me out,(always loved it thow) and now, it still give me a weird creepy feeling

  • That hand scared me as a kid. I was like, 9.

  • For some reason Session by Linkin Park always reminds me of this.

  • @ReloadPsi Mentioning Linkin Park on a LoZ music video... you better believe that's a paddlin'.

  • @Timblesink I see what you did there.

  • @Timblesink he does have a point though, theyre both creepy-ish

  • SSSSHHHHHHHEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    HAND FROM THE CEILING!!!

  • @Wilford870 When playing Maro Kart on the Gamecube Mario Circuit there's a circular shadow on the ground near the finish, and I sometimes think it's a ceiling hand, I always go "crap!" Then realize it's not Zelda. :P

  • I wonder what would've happened if they used this for the shadow temple...how would people react then? I wonder...

  • No LOZ dungeon will ever be as atmospheric as this one. The forest temple is simply magical.

  • i could never stop playing this game!!! i love the forest temple and the spirit temple the most!!! the bosses are fun to go against. this game will always be the best game i ever played in my life!!!! im never going to forget this game!!!

  • 1:00 and the retarded kid starts yelling.

  • This was & still is my favourite music piece from any Zelda game. Haunting and atmospheric as hell. OOT is true gaming art in every way :-)

  • I shat bricks when the little hand would attempt to jump me while I was in the temple.

  • man half of the missions when i had this gave me nightmares.....

  • nothing beats game on the 64

  • 1.04 im not sure, but isn't that one sound/tone (yeah, that one) Link's voice.. but on key?

  • I wonder what used to be of the forest temple before it became a temple (by the royal family i suppose)

  • @lilchris9cmb A lot of theories suggest that it is a vast, ruined mansion.

  • @LuisXTE @Arc13 You are both wrong! You have to buy a N64. But I appreciate that u love this game so much :D at least oot and majoras mask are the best zelda games! twilight princess is boring and the new has shitty graphic! ;)

  • This temple .. it started to creep me out after a while.. IT USED TO DRIVE ME NUTS! I had to put mute in order to pass it because of the freaking song!

The same with my sister. She sometimes plays it just to annoy me.. -_- ..

  • why am i so scared ಥ_ಥ

  • @LuisXTE Why not buy Ocarina and Majoras mask for N64..

  • I have always wondered what kind of instruments were used in making this theme...does anyone know?

  • @Sbarke1 Same here.. I play in an orchestra and get to hear a lot of different instruments, but I haven't found anything that can make that specific sound. Perhaps the ocarina? ..

  • scaaaaryyyy

  • they ripped off Midnight City

  • @tgodd You're an idiot. Sure, a game from 1998 ripped off a song from 2011.

  • @tgodd umm ocarina of time was out over a decade before that

  • Forest Temple is so F****** creepy... it doesn't get any less creepy by the music o.O

  • had a dream about this temple years ago, no music, just silence, this music i guess is about that silence.

  • Navi: Hey Link, this corridor's all twisted

    Link...NO SH*T SHERLOCK!!!

  • I like how Phantom Ganon seems to be jumping over the map x)

  • @redfoxskater yuh bruh!

  • @emodevil1993 ohhh sounds interesting... what's the game about?

  • MY MIND!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! NAVI HELP!

    Navi- the corridor 's twisted

    ..... -.-

  • This song just made me more frustrated when trying to complete the temple.

  • love it

  • fuck the police!

  • one of my fav songs from the game, really eerie and atmospheric :)

  • @coolgra101 Yes it sure it awsome I love it too. <3

  • am I the only one who is freaked out by this one song..?

  • @SalvationMetal no. it's terrifying and perfect at the same time.

  • beau ti ful

  • Comment removed

  • awesome song. using it in my own rpg project right now. fits perfectly for an "long forgotten lab"

  • My favorite dungeon, right now I'm in the seventh.

The music is just inherently fun and mischievous, and the battle with Stalfos was one of the best video game battles I've ever experienced.

    Also Phantom Ganon is AWESOME.

  • Lovely<3

  • That's it... fuck my xbox... fuck my PC... im gonna go buy a GameCube, buy Ocarina of Time, and re-live the awesome time i had when passing this AMAZING GAME!

  • @LuisXTE Fuck gamecube, get an N64 o-o

  • @LuisXTE that or buy a 3ds and experience it with better graphics and playable anywhere

  • @LuisXTE You could use an emulator, just get an adapter to use your xbox controller on your PC and you're good to go. Project64 runs ocarina of time perfectly

  • @julesTEO You know what else runs Ocarina of Time perfectly? A N64.

  • @UnofficialCoolGuy Yup, that will make it, actually better than an Emu, since emu's might have higher resolutions, cheats and states... but in order to actually get the feeeling (yes, with 3 e's) is to play it on an N64 as it was meant to be.

  • @LuisXTE fuck gamecube!! N64 for the win! thats what i grew up on and i still have it. Nintendo would make soooo much money if they re-released the N64. OoT is one of the best games of all time. that and Super Smash Bros. lol they could make enough money to feed a small country off of those 2 games alone.

  • @LuisXTE Buy a Wii. Relive this, Majora's Mask, Zelda I, Zelda II, Link To The Past, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Four Swords Adventures, and buy the new Skyward Sword. Seriously, Gamecube will give you only half of that.

  • @Arc13 And it will also cost you only about 40 bucks for all of it on Gamecube

  • @CharybdusRage I'd disagree. The collection gets you Zelda I, II, Ocarina Of Time, and Majora's Mask.

You'd still be missing Link To The Past, and Skyward Sword. And many of said games are probably going to cost more. Not to mention with that Gamecube collection you won't even have a proper feeling controller. Not to mention you also won't be supporting Nintendo by giving them money buying old used.

Point is read my entire comment. That last sentence still stands.

  • @Arc13 by half of that you mean everything except Skyward Sword! lol

  • @ALPHACKER2 No, you'll have to pay a lot to get your hands on many of these games since Gamecube versions go for good amounts online and not everyone has access to them in a local Old Game store. And like I said, again, Link To The Past.

In fact I'm stopping right now because there is no way you read my comment, none of it, none at all, because I thought I felt deja vu and I did, I'm typing the exact same thing.

There is no guarentee of getting anything with Gamecube, with Wii you have 100%.

  • @Arc13 Except that the original comment simply says "passing this amazing game" not all the other ones. If he only wants to play Ocarina of Time (and who could blame him, hard to argue that it's one of the best [if not THE best] in the whole series). I don't like the Wii controls at all (Wii-mote and Nunchuck), and the Gamecube controller feels extremely comfortable to me even for the classics. I again see no reason to get the Wii if you just want to play OoT again :P

  • @CharybdusRage With Wii you could still play with Gamecube controller, in fact it pretty much demands it, doesn't use Wii Remote and Nunchuck at all.

Reason I'm suggesting it is namely that why would you want to experience only one entry in the Zelda series when you know you can access them all in another form?

The only concievable way the Gamecube could be better is if you don't have internet access, but if you didn't then you wouldn't be here.

  • @Arc13 Actually the only one of those the Gamecube can't play is Skyward Sword. Zelda, Zelda II, OoT and Majora's Mask are all part of the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition; Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Four Swords Adventures were all released for Gamecube; and A Link to the Past can be played via the Game Boy Player using the GBA cartridge of it.

  • @MrRedshirt42 True, but essentialy you'll need to buy a lot of accessories and go searching without a 100% chance of even finding let alone getting said products and games. I'd know, I'm actually doing the math as I'm trying to recollect the whole series! Plus with a lot of those being on disc years down the road wear and tear can have their way with the discs(or if you buy online from the wrong source it could be next week), whereas download lasts forever.

Your argument is good too though.

  • @Arc13 I have collected most of these things in the last year or so, and I'll be getting the rest soon. I think the gamecube might be somewhat cheaper, since used wiis are still at least $80, whereas you can get a cube with one controller for $20, and the game boy player for around $20 . I think OoT and MM are $10 each on wii, and the other old games are $5, and I got the Collector's Edition for $30. If you already have a wii though, or plan to buy wii games, then the wii option is better.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrRedshirt42 Alright, my comment didn't come out so I'll sum this up briefly...

Very good point, thank you for actually seeming to read my points.

I did some math and got this...

    WITHOUT systems...

    Gamecube - $110

Wii - $80(not including Skyward Sword)

    WITH systems...

    Gamecube - $130

    Wii - $170

True with systems Wii is more but you'll be supporting Nintendo this way, and you'll have access to Skyward. I fully see why Gamecube might be preferable but I'd still side with Wii.

  • Comment removed

  • @Arc13 Wait...so...if i have the limited edition disk (the small one) that has WW demo, MM, and OoT, and other older games on it, can i stick that in the wii and play it? If so, do i need to hook up the gamecube controller to it?

  • @angelkat64 Yes, you'll still need gamecube controller for gamecube games.

Gamecube controller would also play the Wii versions from Virtual Console, no classic controller required.

  • @Arc13 Sorry to burst your bubble. But with the combination of a gamecube and a gameboy player accesory. You can play every single zelda game minus the wii exclusives (links crossbow training, skyward sword).

  • @MrGuitarguy123 Sorry but you're a little late on this. If you're going to join the conversation to try and prove Gamecube better than Wii, that point was already made.

And it had ended there as well since I had proven that it all depends at that point on if you have the systems or not. If you have them already, Wii is the way to go.

If you don't(which is unlikely), Gamecube is the way to go.

  • @Arc13 All of those games except Skyward Sword are available to play on Gamecube.

  • @gameaddict51 If you go out of your way to find them, spend more than Virtual Console on them, and some even need accesories to play.

Again, refer to my pricing comment. Math done, argument over.

If you have systems already Wii is better. If you don't have the systems, Gamecube is better.

  • @Arc13 Not to mention that the Wii has it's own "gamecube" inside :D I just wish that Skyward Sword had a gamecube controller interface . . .

  • @Arc13 or just get any shitty computer and emulate the games.

  • @LuisXTE um... it's for the n64 not the gamecube

  • @viktor2008 collector's edition for the gamecube has ocarina of time, majora's mask, zelda 1 and zelda 2 on it

  • @LuisXTE Why wouldn't you get a freaking 64 and play it how it was meant to play? Only the 64 version has a soul. o_o

  • @calabiyauasaurus You have met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

  • @LuisXTE or just get a 3ds bundle

  • @LuisXTE for that my firend, u have to buy an N64 ;)

  • Well done, no shit, thats what i wanted

  • i always do my homework to this now

  • I've beaten this game countless times....I still get excited to play it.

  • @Earendil15 same, i make sure i get at least one run through every 6 months. I will NEVER stop playing this game.

  • Soooooooo gud !

  • Yuh dawg this corridor be twisted!

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone else see the previews for the new zelda game? I'm sort of unenthused of the new game. I feel like it resembles a disney movie in a way. I just want an OOT inspired hd masterpiece that really puts me into the game. I want more temples and dungeons like the forest/shadow/spirit that really spooked me and challenged me. I feel like the music in this game should've won some kind of Grammy award. It really attached you to the gameplay emotionally. This game made me shit my pants.

  • @doesgood17 I hated that corridor. And the floormaster that followed ): I was always rushing like NOOOOOOO IT WILL COME AT ME and shit

  • ZELDA WAS SO AWESOME, RIGHT GUYS? RIGHT?
