@Jonysocks That's the point. There is a BASIC guide for Marksman Hunters. This guide isn't a "mandatory-must guide" but just to help people get the basic idea on how to play a marksman hunter.
why use arcane shot as dump below 90% health?and only use aaimed on procs? iam doing more dps if i use aimed shot even without careful aim as dump all the time. and use arcane as dump now and then, depneds on boss if i have 2 move etc.. (dont have 4set bonus yet)
@AustralianLeprechaun probaly like 30-35k dropping to like 28, it doesn't really matter though. CA makes me look like I'm doing more damage then I really should be doing(even though its ends of being pretty similar do to raid buffs, etc.).

@Verenidus I Changed up my rotation a little bit and I noticed that if you go SS>Chimera>Steady (until focus capped)>AI>AI>Steadyx2>chimera and then build your focus back up and use AI u get more dps out of it. This is of course while CA is still up. I would love to know what you think, thanks.
@IvanYankinoff I can definately try it out myself. It looks like a reasonable rotation (getting the haste bonus at the beginning). The only thing is you might loose dps just because you'll be hitting less AIs in the CA phase. Chimera Shot might make up for it but from the logs I've seen the hunter who gets more AIs off is usually the higher dps(for the entire fight).
@Superbubblee25 You should be using Arcane shot as your focus dump. Marksman dummy tests are skewed because of the Careful Aim talent that increases the crit chance of your AI, SS, and Cobra shot talents by 60% for targets above 90% health. Considering the dummy never drops below that, your working with +60% to all of your shots in your rotation. I already adressed why you should use Arcane vs. Spamming Steady Shot or using AI in an earlier comment.

@Superbubblee25 Umm do you not use aimed shot or arcane shot? You should be using SOMETHING for focus dumps... This is so fundamental, I don't get why so many hunters dont understand this.

@Dadigster If you do decide to change your focus dump to arcane(which should be the case considering the benifit of the Tier 13 4-Set) then yah you should Glyph of Arcane Shot. Otherwise Chimera Shot is good too. Another option is Killshot, but I don't reccomend it unless your guild has problems beating the enrage timers on bosses.

If you want to read about when you should or shouldn't, go to elitist jerks, 4.3 Marksmanship Hunter Guide, go to the Table of Contents, go to sections 3.7.3 and 6.2.2. If you do want to use AI as your focus dump, I'm not sure about the exact haste amount, but you want to have 1.9 second cast time or less for it to be as good as arcane. As for your rapid fire phase, you should be getting full focus, and hitting 2 AI Shots.
@Verenidus In the CA phase. When outside the CA phase you should be keep Chimera Shot when its off CD and focus dumping with AI Shot. In the Kill Shot Phase, you priority is KS, Chimera, AI, Steady.
Nice vid...so about how much haste should someone have before they can start using aimed shot as a focus dump instead of arcane??? Also, when under the effect of rapid fire/lust is it better to steady shot until full focus and then fire off 2 aimed shots? Or is steady steay aimed not good?
@Yoyokyn121 If we base it off of dps logs from Dragon Soul, then Survival, and even BM are better than MM. I will be making a Survival Shot Priority Guide soon.
Basicly, even though you get more AI procs and your hunter dps increases, your pet dps decreases and you get less Sic 'Em procs. If your pet is dead, however, it is better to just spam SS.
So something been confusing me about hunters. It seems like I get split information about Marksman rotation. During the regular phase, some hunters tell me to do arcanex2 streadyx2 and aimed on proc with chimeras. Others tell me to not use arcane at all and just steady/aimed spam with chimeras to refresh. I wonder why I get such broad opinions. Thoughs?
