I WAS ON THE SCENE WORKING AND I KNOW A FLAGGER ON THE BNSF GOT FIRED FOR RELEASING THE TRACK AND TIME WITH THE DISPATCHER. RAZORBACK IS NOT AT FAULT HERE BNSF IS!!
When in telephoto, try to brace camcorder on something solid so less movement.
So the mistake was that Razorback cleared track 4 for use but had not yet moved their truck from 4 before the train arrived?
Could the truck not have moved ahead of the 30 mph train so there would be no collision? Or was he on a blind curve and could not see the train in time?
What I dont get is, didnt the dump truck operate the track circuites?? If it was a high railer machine the despatcher would not have been able to clear his signals for the train and the mistake would have been realised before the train arrived.
@formidable38 Agreed, I'm not sure if any of the vehicles even shunted the tracks. If they did, the dispatcher wouldn't have been able to line signals.
you're supposed to get off the tracks then release track and time!! That's terrible. nice catch on the excitement. is that your home in that big building by the Union Station? Wow what a view you get out the window!!! i've always wondered what the rent is in those places.
Non union sub contracting at it's best!

Would have liked to also see the responding emergency equipment arriving rather than repetition of same views.
Also, time to get a tripod to steady view. Not bad considering the distance and telephoto lens!

Thank you for your excellent information, 8192.
Apparently moron contractor does not understand that you DON'T GIVE UP #4 UNTIL YOUR TRUCK IS OFF IT!
Nice home you have!

so... did this truck fall off of a bridge and on to the locomotive? as you can see, all of the damage is at the top of the engine.
