  • Wow ! It's a m a z i n g !

  • Wonderful!

  • 2 ppl don't know anything about real music...

  • I kind of miss John's acoustic guitar playing, but the vocal performance is really impressive for a live recording, even in studio! Great forgotten song, one of John's best in my opinion.

  • Guys do you know that it is yes recorded in a studio but live recording :)) if you ever had a jam session in a studio you will understand what i say ....so it shows voices as it s not with no extra cleaning or anything and on one shot :)) wow wow i like it

  • That is the an amazing version of a great great song. Thank you Queen.

  • Esta es una de esas canciones por las cuales uno dice que bueno que me gusta la musica y que soy un fan a muerte de Queen. Excelente version en la BBC.

"Extendé tus pequeñas alas y vuela lejos"

  • @guxt65 estoy contigo amigo!!

  • This version beats everything. John Deacon is a genius!

  • Wow.. I am speechless. I agree with everyone else in that this is THE version of this song. The power in Freddie's voice, the guitar.. the drums.. my god, this is spine-tingling, perfection!

  • what a wonderful ending

  • this is way beyond awesome.

what else can I say? thank you again, dave!

  • No words to describe this... only listen to it

  • Spread your wings lad. There's nothing to fear.

  • Great Effin' Classic!!! Timeless

  • Love this version!!!!

  • better than the one which was released finally, i would say

  • awesome song, great video!

  • Without a doubt. One of Queens most underrated songs ever !! And a personal favorite of mine. Crank it up !! Queens music will forever be timeless .

  • i like it

  • this is actually even better than the album version, just listen to the sheer power freddie puts into the song!!

  • This is a John Deacon composition, who also contributed "Another one bites the dust" and "I want to break free". This beatiful song only peaked at #34 when released. No justice... but I believe that once the world has matured a bit from all the Lady Gagas and such... we will hear songs such as this on the airways again.

  • @emet79 GAGA is a queen fan and a studied piano player...freddie would love her, i guess...i am a queen fan, ok??

  • I bow to you Mr. Fuller. I´m so glad someone like you is alive to keep us entertained with ´unknown´ Freddie - and Queen versions of songs we all ever liked anyway anyhow. God bless you and Freddy. He will never die.

    Thank You !!!

    With nice greetings from Germany....

  • I like this fast version

  • you can just feel how into the music they weree.... surpasses the studio version in my opinion

  • Creativity and talent at it's best = QUEEN!

  • Beautiful, R.I.P Freddie, the greatest musician ever! <3

  • So many stupid people on this planet <3 only 90 thousand viewers..what the hell.

  • Great song...nice pics.

  • john deacon 2:25 minutes in = dustin hoffman not in disguise.

  • Loved this early Queen song and prayed they would play it when I went to see them back in 79 in the Bristol Hippodrome. They did and it still stciks in my mind to this day - as well as being deaf for two days after !

I often pass Rockfield studios in Monmouth where they recorded Bohemian Rhapsody , and where Rogers drum kit from that day still remains.Should be opened as a tourist attraction as many greats recorded there.

  • awesome!!

  • Rock on Queen your the best. No one can dis queen

  • I absolutely love this song. If my job is getting on my nerves, I just put this song on my mp3 player and I drift into another world...I swear, I don't know what they did, but their music is like a drug to me! I can't get enough of it!

  • what a fantastic song

  • yessssssss

  • So what is the Emerald Bar that is mentioned in this song? A real place in England or fictional? Just wondering...it sounds as if it is real. Really enjoy this song, Freddie sounds as if he is really telling us a story.

Thanks for the upload Dave :)

  • i think its a place in florida actually

  • I wonder why they never released this? This is an amazing alternate version of one of my favorite songs.

  • Always a fave song of mine, to discover this amazing version is such a treat, somehow combines the best of the live and the origional versions, supreme

  • Very nice song:)

  • awesome!!!! thx David

  • Now I really think you're a Queen band member. Love this version of Spread Your Wings. Just heard it from the Wolfgang Concert Vault. Makes me miss Freddie and his beautiful voice..

  • Freddie's vocals are top notch in this version. Queen are just untouchable as a band. They are the best.

  • Hard to believe this song was on the "B" side of the New of the World album. This song rocks!!

  • totally agree jimqmg13. this song is a classic. and it's a shame that they stopped playing it live in the 80's.

  • didnt they stop touring in the 80's due to Freddie's health???

  • @jimqmg13

Also hard to believe that when this was released as a single it only reached the lower 30's..34 I think.

  • not bad real not bad

  • WOW what an ending.....beyond awesome! Not only does Freddie have the greatest voice ever, but OMFG what a piano player!!!! Not to mention the stellar drums and guitar...you hit this one out of the park boys! Five stars and favorite.

  • What a incredible rendition of this song. I'd prefer listening to this now

  • Nothing compares to any May´s guitar solo

  • He is great in this song. Reminded me a bit of J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr with the ending solo.

  • Őrület!!!!!! Az egyik legjobb Queen szám a klassziukus kiforrott korszakukból, de még a pop irányzat előtt. Ez a ZENE. Köszönjük!!!!

    Thanks from Hungary!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Te meg egy felfuvalkodott anglomán vagy - ha már a nyelvek szépségéről értekezel, inkább franciául tennéd

  • Yeah, that's what I was talking about >D

  • Agreed..and in German too.

  • The voice at 4:12 and the guitars throughout the song are amazing. The blend of piano and guitar makes you wanna cry. GO John Deacon!
