@PopsiclesFreezer He's the greatest man who ever lived? A gift from god? What did he do in his life to help others? If you wanna talk about the greatest men talk about Martin Luther King, Ghandi, The Dalai Lama. This dude did nothing in his life for others he was actually pretty selfish when you think about it.
@TheZiggy112 Yes I know what you mean and I do respect those people too, especially Ghandi... and I may overreacted on the god thing and whatnot (I'm an aethiest) but I do respect the man because he was one human being that no one sees nowadays, everyone's so superficial and is just interested in theirselves...I mean it's just...wrong, society nowadays is just wrong...ATTENTION: I'm talking about teens. Some adults aren't really the best example but we see it more in teens...
@PopsiclesFreezer Mcandless was only interested in himself, That much is clear. He made no effort to contact his family and tell them what he was doing, Instead he let them suffer until the last moment before someone turns up at their door telling them their son is dead. The guy was just an idiot that got himself killed, I respect that he tried something different but he was totally unprepared to live in the wild and basically committed suicide. He's not the hero the movie trys to make him.
@Reveller8 Chris McCandless was an idiot for thinking that he could survive the wilderness without proper training, or without telling anyone where he was going. I'm not saying he deserved to die. No one deserves that. But he essentially committed suicide, and glorifying him is idiotic.

Incredible, impressive and painful scene, but that's why it's so wonderful.
One of the best movies of our time.
Chris McCandless showed everybody how you to live your life in freedom.
Thank you!
