This is hard core counseling ... only the winner should attain the higher rank if the winner is indeed the subordinate. We had wall to wall counseling in my day ... when supervisor, squad leader & 3 or 4 others took hostilities out on a lone soldier. This looks very fair but then again it looks like they are doing it for fun. Right wrong or indifferent ... we are all volunteers & are not conscripts or draftees.

Look at a place called SANGIN, its a known fact!

WE secured our OWN victory when british invasion forces flanked from canada leading to the capture of that entire ARMY at the Battle of Saratoga. the french naval victroy at the Chesapeake allowed us to capture a second british ARMY at the Seige of Yorktown. american forces won our own land idiot.

@airborne1ranger24 Actually one principle of the ISAF COIN strategy is to Defeat the Insurgent so no they go hand in hand. Not to say we dont focus on every other principle of the doctrine, you just dont hear much about it on the news.

We had 3,000 combat troops to hold it all together, consider there are now over 30,000 deployed there you get an idea of what they were up against. And defeating the insurgent is part of the COIN strategy its a key principle.

@BeaudyBoy89 Pound for pound the British put it all over you, I've served alongside USMC and lets say we werent impressed, they took more casualties in a day than we took in a 6 month tour in Helmand. And I actually thought our basic infantrymans kit and equipment was better than theirs, they had no MMG capability at the section level, less PPE, no C-IED capability in the section, no sharpshooters at section level, less effective C2. Look at a place called SANGIN, its a known fact!

@themadison20111 Actually your talking to one of the guys who smashed the taliban in Northern Musa Qaleh and pushed a huge sphere of influence of over 10km with just a company of light role infantry. My battalion has the fearsome reputation of having the highest kill count in a 6 month tour of Helmand. Again take a look at the massive reversal of progress when the USMC took over british forces in Sangin.

@rangliansoldier the french did little helping in the american revolutionon on the american font.what they did do was make the british draw their attention to the european front basicly after the war. WE secured our OWN victory when british invasion forces flanked from canada leading to the capture of that entire ARMY at the Battle of Saratoga. the french naval victroy at the Chesapeake allowed us to capture a second british ARMY at the Seige of Yorktown. american forces won our own land idiot.

@airborne1ranger24 Actually one principle of the ISAF COIN strategy is to Defeat the Insurgent so no they go hand in hand. Not to say we dont focus on every other principle of the doctrine, you just dont hear much about it on the news.

@rangliansoldier sorry a COIN mission has nothing to do with Kill Count.....i dont know who told you this but COIN is about the OODA loop and being able to leave the smallest kinetic foot print as posible./..if your unit was doing massive kinetic operations and tailing up a huge "KILL COUNT" then you werent doing your job and made a mess for some other command to clean up

@Texashog74 Bear in mind this was early in 2007 in Helmand when British forces were outnumbered and had no option but to go on these kinetic ops. We had 3,000 combat troops to hold it all together, consider there are now over 30,000 deployed there you get an idea of what they were up against. And defeating the insurgent is part of the COIN strategy its a key principle.
