@Maytons i lived on 1641 bennett street my grand parents lived on the corner bennett & minnasota movved to burton in 78 man i knew flint like the back of my hand
@Maytons I lived in The house on the corner of Oklahoma and Iowa.i think it was the house you referred to as haunted.I moved in there around 1979 till about 1989 .The house is no longer there. Small world ! The house that you referred to as Steve Wilson was his Grandmas house the Maybree's .
@nashtrashman Wow, it is a small world! How did you even stumble across this video? Steve and I were good friends into our 20's. I had a Rollingwood reunion event that he came to a couple years ago and I still try to see him every time I come back. Oddly enough I found Jimmy Harvey through this video too (the kid I mention who threw the kroket mallet). I moved out in June of 1979. What's your name BTW?
I lived 1 block north of your old house and I remember the store that was on the corner. Older guy owned it but it burned down few years back so they tore it down.
Holy Shit.....Oklahoma Ave. I lived in that exact house with my aunt and my best friend lived next door. Small ass world. And my Mom lived at the other end of Oklahoma. 1826 to be exact. WOW and Hickory Block is nor a Family Dollar....SAD
@SwatDawgg That's cool bro. I lived upstairs at 1635 Oklahoma & my Grandma lived one block down. Lived there from '74-'79. We would know many of the same people.

I love videos like this! this is exactly what i see, when i see abandoned homes, neighborhoods, and cities, and i see someones childhood and memories, its so sad that some peoples homes are just ran into the ground, they will never get to take a trip down memory lane:(. but it was great to see you re-live all your childhood home memories!
@Maytons I lived there with my grandmother dad uncle and aunt during the 70s and 80s. My aunt was in a wheelchair we had a lift on the house. Mrs. Majors lived next door in the green house.
@Maytons Hmm Odd my last comment didnt post. I lived there in the late 70s and the early 80s. I am 42 it was when I was around 8-9 yrs old until around 15 or 16 when we moved. My dad and grandma lived here since the 50s though. I lived with my mom for a while in mt morris then mio michigan before I moved in with my dad. My aunt was in a wheel chair you might remember her.
@jamesharv2005 OK, this is too amazing... YOU ARE THE JIMMY that I mention in the video! What are the chances that a video that has only 623 views would ever be accidentally found by a person who was vaguely mentioned in the video. That's just crazy!
@Maytons Ya thats wild. I actually remember I felt horrible about hitting you with the mallet. I thought Id killed you for a minute lol. Ya I wont ever forget that.
@jamesharv2005 LOL forget about it =) Hey I'll be up visiting this week... If you aren't doing anything on Saturday bring a picnic lunch out to Richfield Park between 11-5. I organized a reunion of my entire old neighborhood (Rollingwood).
It's April 2011. The eastside looks a lot different since you were there in the fall. I'm guessing 80 houses have been torn down in those neighborhoods in the past couple months.
I remember living at the Eastside of Flint. I lived on the eastside for 12 years. It felt very much like home there! I used to always walk my dogs in this area, which was the best part about living on the eastside. The other thing I liked about it was the warm weather.
If you've ever visited your old home you know how sweet a feeling it is to take "the time machine" back to your childhood. I loved this neighborhood!!
im still livin on Leith I grew up on the east too. but im on leith in Burton now close to center rd. GOOD OL FLINT remember all that.
