  • you know, it sometimes scares me that people dedicate entire tanks to breeding SNAILS. however, these snails are not brown and ugly, they have a nice color to them. i may soon have to breed snails myself, to feed to puffer fish. any tips? actually, not tips, could you just send me a message and explain how to breed snails in a ten gallon planted tank? dont know if the gallon ratio or planted tank means anything, but just in case, i told you. thanks!

  • @nothingbettertodosoo Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

I do not know which type of globefish you breed

I do not increase even if I breed Red Ramshorn snail with a big water tank.

I think that I should prepare plural water tanks of 2 gallons or 3 gallons.

Because growth takes time, it is difficult to increase Ramshorn snail as bait.

What is useless in (Marble Crayfish) crayfish instead of Red Ramshorn snail?

Marble Crayfish can do parthenogenesis only in ♀.

  • Love this video. Love the way you take care of this beautiful species.

  • OH and @ 2:07 there is a parasite at the bottom of the egg sack.

  • @jaredultimatum Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

  • @jaredultimatum

That's not a parasite, planaria or what ever they're called, completely harmless all fresh water tanks have them.

Great video none the less, I wish my ramshorns were doing that good :( I can't get them to breed for me at all and they all slowly die over time, I haven't seen a shack of eggs in for ever :(

  • Great Video

  • @jaredultimatum Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

  • How do the newborns not fit through the slits?

  • Very nice. I am trying to breed Ramshorns to feed to my pufferfish - I have been fairly successful but I have some questions. One is, how do you clean the tank when there is soil on the bottom? My snails make A LOT of poop that i try to siphon out all the time. What size of tank do you use and how do you keep it clean, how do you keep the snails inside the plastic containers and how do you prevent the snails from clogging up the filters LOL

  • @JbobsFunnyFarm Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

I take out a plastic box and I can enter and rinse it out in the bucket which I poured water into.

When it is drained the lateral slit of the box of water, the feces can be eliminated.

  • Hi!

I have been trying to breed Red Ramshorn for a while, but have not been successfull at it. I am willing to try your technique, but I can't seem to fing the plastic containers you are using, anywhere...

Could you please tell me what is the name or brand of the containers you are using?

    Thanks!

  • @Henoch1960 Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

This plastic case is Breeding boxes such as guppies.

The side of the box includes a slit.

    I forgot the product name.

  • Why would you wanna breed these little bastards? They are like a virus, you can never get rid of them!

  • oh by the way, where did you get the containers?

The slitted containers where you breed your ramshorn snails?

I've been looking for some for a long time haha

  • @fruityt0otyswtii0x3 Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

I cannot send it out from Japan.

I'm sorry that I cannot comply with your request.

    Thank you.

  • @PXYG Thank you for the answers!

I didn't want to buy the plastic containers. haha

I was just wondering what brand they were.

From what I can see, it looks like Lee's 5-way breeder?

If that's it, I can probably just get that from my local fish store. haha

  • @PXYG hi,i have seen these eggs in my betta tank with snails which are said to be apple snails from a aquarium but they never hatched, are red snails apple snails or ramshorn snails?

  • @9912699125 Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

apple snails is different in the form of the egg.

  • @PXYG oh....so if i have those egg in my tank that means i have ramshorn snails and not apple snail?

  • Hi!

    Your ramshorn snails are beautiful!

I'd love to purchase some from you.

    Are you selling them?

    Thanks.

  • @fruityt0otyswtii0x3 Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

I cannot send it out from Japan.

I'm sorry that I cannot comply with your request.

    Thank you.

  • Beautiful :)

    Do goldfish eat these snails?

  • @HMlairy Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

A goldfish does not eat Red Ramshorn snail.

  • Hi I am getting a green spotted puffer. I am changing my 35 gal. To a species only tank.

I need to get a constant supply of hard, solid food to give him as a treat to keep his dental plates down,

I have a spare 30l tank with a filter and heater can you suggsest how I would breed and what extra equiptment I need. Thanks

    Dan.

  • @fingersk8dan Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

The special instrument is not necessary to raise Red Ramshorn snail.

Aquq soil is put in the water tank and the water quality keeps pH7.

Food gives food including calcium for the turtle.

If the water temperature is 26 degrees C, it will lay eggs every day.

Red Ramshorn snail is breedable in the instrument and tank which you have.

  • @PXYG thankyou very much. i will cycle my 30l tank for a week or so and then buy a few snails!

  • @fingersk8dan

    You're welcome (^-^*)/

  • Great , how do you take these microscopic vids?

  • @alex01men69 Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

It is a record of observations.

  • how often does a snail have a bunch of eggs

  • @eedee91 Thank you for the comment(^-^*)/

I think that the lump of the egg bears it every day.

  • What was the song

  • @terriyakiboychino Thank you for the comment

I forget the title of this music.

This tune is one of the libraries of "Audio Swap" that youtube offers.

I'm sorry that I cannot comply with your request.

  • That was just beautiful

  • @terriyakiboychino so beutiful, i lived it ;)

  • @Skyplue123 Thank you for watching this video (^-^*)/

  • wow,you have so many snails! they're all beautiful! what do you do with them, is it just a hobby? what inspired you to breed them?

  • @rachelwynn Thank you for the comment.

I have bred with the hobby.

It acts as a partner when breeding the fry of other fish, and Red Ramshorn snail is utilized.

  • im gona upload one vid bout my snail, can u tell me wat type is it by watching it?? x.x

  • @jakechan99 Thank you for the comment.

Your video was seen. The color of Ramshorn snail cannot be guessed from video.

I'm sorry that I cannot comply with your request.

  • @PXYG aww man.. lol,can i put it in my fry tank?

  • @jakechan99 Thank you for the comment.

Ramshorn snail attacks neither a fry nor an egg.

The dead egg and the dead fry are only eaten.

    Please be relieved.

  • @PXYG thx dude, now im not that worried anymore X)

  • ohh this video is so beutiful, would you give four of them away? i really want some for my aquarium. I was so impressed by the way you were able to capture the movement of the snails in the eggs!!! :)

  • @karlamable Thank you for the comment.

    You're welcome.

  • I love your ramshorn snails, they're beautiful! So is the music, what is it?

  • Did you catch these ramshorns in the wild? If so I am wondering how you caught them.

  • @TacticalSkum Thank you for the comment.

Five Red Ramshorn snail was bought in the shop.

Afterwards, it breeds in the water tank and it has increased.

It isolated, when Ramshorn snail of the unusual color was produced, and fixation of a color was advanced.

  • When you have the baby snails can they escape and enter the fish section or do u prevent it by taking them out and putting them in a breeding chamber or another tank? and if they do escape do your fish eat the snail? never owned them some one once told me they over breed and take over ur tank LOL i would get them to feed the loaches but i dont want them to own the tank.

  • Thank you for the comment.

baby snails may escape in case of the method of this movie.

However, baby snails dives in the bottom and grows up if aqua soil is put in a plastic box.

"It escapes" = "it moves in quest of food"

A possibility that it will be preyed if a fish is in a tank cannot be denied, either.

I think that the method of moving the plastic box which produced the egg to other tanks will be good if it increases certainly.

  • Cool thanks for the reply also do u need to have a heater in the water in winter time? coz it gets really chilli here at 15 degrees celcius

  • When taking a picture, Japan was winter.

Even if Red Ramshorn snail does not have a heater, it can live, but ovipositional behavior stops.

The heater is used for the egg laying and the growth of the egg.

The egg of Red Ramshorn snai will hatch in nine days, when water temperature is 26 degrees C.

It takes time until it will hatch, if water temperature is low.

There is possible, that the egg dies when the water temperature during a day changes at ± as many as 4℃.

  • @ 2:04 what is that little thing what's swimming on the left side of the eggs??

  • Thank you for the comment.

Though it is a matter pointed out

Finally, it has hatched only by not moving when taking a picture.

  • the 3rd blue Ramshorn snail is beautyfull!!

  • Thank you

  • aww, your snails are beautiful! i just started breeding ramshorns recently.

How often do these snails lay a batch of eggs? I only have 4 ramshorns (not including a few newborns), but I've found about a dozen different batches of eggs in my tank over the past week!

  • Thank you for the comment.

If two Red Ramshorn snail is, it will produce an egg. Red Ramshorn snail is a hermaphrodite.

It gives birth to the egg every day if the change in the water temperature is few.

  • It is so nice I think, thanks to share with us.

  • Thank you

  • What is your reason of Ramshorn snail breeding?

  • Thank you for the comment.

It doesn't breed to make it to the food of Dwarf Puffer.

It uses it to breed of Dwarf Puffer and other fish.

Baby Brine shrimp left half-eaten is processed.

  • always love your videos =]!

  • Thank you

  • Very interesting video , nice !

  • Thank you

  • i love the blue snails :o)

  • w-o-w so many ! :P

  • Thank you

  • Nice vid. Thanks for sharing!

How long can those ramshorn snail live?

  • Thank you for the comment.

Although it is the survival days in this environment, it is eight weeks on the average.

This tank is an object for breeding. If it moves to the tank for admiration, it will live about three months.

The water tank of the appreciation purpose is a water plant water tank where the fish doesn't exist.

  • Very nice and interesting video !

  • Thank you
