I feel really bad that the final Conviction didn't have the gameplay elements from what it suppose to have, like throwing objects intro enemies, and also long-haired fugitive sam :) ...and i don't think the next splintercell (if is there gonna be one) will feature this elements, or sam..it would be great but i'm afraid sam will be retired from the series, specially looking on how Conviction story ended...too bad, he was the trademark for the series no dubt

The problem is that they made Sam the focus of the series. This occured after a bit in and past 4. I don't care if its not really one of his written books, as it was still to mimic the characteristics of his books. These needed to be side stories on Sam if anything, being less as destructive. The problem is that these games are too short, and yet, we only get two takes at a similar WW3 break out, with a blackout in either. There is so many more possibilities before imploding the series.

People bash this version and don't understand that the subtitle was to go along with the gameplay, while the new version doesn't and doesn't need that subtitle. Its not to be perminant.

The game is a constant stealth game, set up to the story of being on the run. It makes sense then and fits in with the character of the franchise. The new one is just the letter of the mechanics, with a ruinning of the way things role in the Tom Clancy's universe. Realism, what could happen in real life.

Wow, I remember when Ubisoft Montreal was ecstatic about announcing the old version of SC conviction, and it took them about half a year to make it. And THEN they COMPLETELY redid the game and it took them another year or so lol, but I've got to say, the new version was nice. I've got the whole Conviction ending on my channel in HQ

I have no idea why they terminated this version and built a new one but this to me, seems like a better and all round bigger/complex idea.
