Great tutorial but i go a problem... When i go to actually run the disk into my computer it dont work i press f12 to go to windows XP setup and it comes up, ''Insert the CD labeled:Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD Into you CD-ROM drive. Press ENTER when ready. So i press enter and nothing changes it stays on the page maybe a flicker of the screen, I think it's because im using DVD-R And your using CD-R would that be the case?

I think i know what you mean. Well,

1. if youre gonna use this XPCD to format your drive and do a fresh install, YES.

2. But...if you use it for OS repair (does not require reformatting the drive), "NO".

3. OR...if youre going to do a FRESH Install of WinXP without reformatting the drive and pointing your Set Up to a new Windows Folder, "NO" (After installation, you can find your existing documents in the folder called "Windows.old".

most probably you are installing incorrect drivers. Try this -uninstall all previously installed sound drivers. google your motherboard's model and specs then download and install the correct (updated) drivers from the manufacturer's website.

man, that the windows xpsp3 setup files store on my hard drive....i simply locate the folder where i placed 'em and drag them to my compilation. That should be the same as your XPSP2 set up files.

If you are repairing a WInXpProSP2, then you need to burn the same ISO file....to restore the corrupted registry files, insert your WInXpProSP2 to your CD/DVD Rom Drive, and start Recovery Console, and then manually copy the Windows\Tmp\*.bak files to the Windows\System32\Config folder. Make sure to rename the files to remove the .bak extension.

As long as you know it's the full version of your XP CD, it's okay, I only added those files and modified some parts of the installer.

1. If you format the drive during setup - Old Windows and everything is gone for good.

2. If you don't format the drive & chose "Repair previous installation". Old Windows will be repaired & remain the working OS.

3. If you don't format the drive & chose "Install a Fresh Copy of Windows" Old Windows Folder will be renamed "Windows.old" & a new folder will be created named "Windows" (Default) or you have the option to give it any other name.

tnx yonn, of course this'll work on a clean drive, u can do fresh install and repair on this cd + with this tut you can easily add utilities and tools that'll still fit on the cd-r before you burn it. if u want you can modify your xp cd by creating an unattended set-up. BTW, this tut works on either CD-Rs and DVD-Rs.

If you have downloaded the Windows_XP_Professional_SP3_un­­touched drivers, you dont need to follow the video. Get Ultra ISO or any ISO burning software, install it, once installed, double click on the SP3 ISO file and burn it.

if it's an iso, simply burn it using any ISO Burning Software...unless the set up files is non-bootable or you want to add some files or modify the contents such as creating an unattended install...this is when you need to follow the procedures on this video.

man, that's what i told in 0:11 but if you have non-bootable set up files on your drive (perhaps a licensed one) and you way want to modify it with unattended set-up or add some files on the cd..this is the way to do it.

Definitely Yes, But you can create an unattended set up and input all the needed information including the cd key, username etc. so you don't have to key in everything again during installation. Simply insert the CD on the the drive and next thing you know, XP desktop is opened for you and OS is ready to use.

yes. or you can create an unattended xp set up and fill in all the info incl. the cd key, skip EULA, name of owner, company, regional settings etc. so you don't have to go through all the prompts during installation. Just insert the xpcd and next thing you know, the desktop is ready for you.

1.clean the drive lens

2. adjust the drive lens

3. burn at lower speed

Creating a bootable winserver 2008 dvd is more like creating a bootable winvista dvd.The process is a lot different here in WinXp. I suggest you watch my video on WinVista Bootable and google an article for the step by step instructions. Thanks for the comment.

Well. man your CD-DVD drive might have detection problem. Check your BIOS if the drive is properly detected. You can also see detection during POST on Boot up.
