Ummm... I've been to shows all over the country and there's no special "no talking while Trey is playing a slow, quiet song" rule on the east coast either. I would image they are on some sort of special sumpin', sumpin. But, yeah, those people should just go to a bar.
When you're actually there.. you can't hear anyone over the music anyway. I've seen every big fest since the Clifford Ball and 8 was the most magical of any of them.
@McNastyShasta want me to do it? I mean it'd be copyright infringement more or less as I'd just be syncing the audio from teh SBDs to your video, but there's plenty of videos like that on here that Phish apparently doesn't mind, or hasn't seen yet.
@McNastyShasta sober bastards who just wanna yap,, it's a new phenomenon of phish tour since they've started playing again. they crowd has changed, who the fk are these people?
Perfect song for this weekend. Right in the middle of the festival, spirits were as high as they could be. The song just fit the moment perfectly, and what a great moment it was.
More like gospel, don't you think? And Trey nailed it, as did the rest of the band. Problem with videos is they barely represent what actually went down.
We were 35k strong, up in the hizzy, witnessing the kings of jamness slam-dunking argueably the greatest album ever made, Exile on Main St.! Surreal...
Shout out to Henry K, creator of Dub Like an Antelope, Reggae's Tribute to Phish, out in Dec.
Exile is not only my top Stones album but a top 5 album PERIOD. Phish CRUSHED this cover set. I was blown away at how much fun it was to here them do it. Forget the Voice, Googz , no one will ever be Mick. The musical interpretation was FANTASTIC. GREAT jams, the horns were hot and soulful back up singers were VERY Stones. Everyone dug it big time.
it's not bad bud but c'mon Trey doing soul? I'm not trying to put down his performance it was good but there was nothing special put on it like Mick did it. It may be time to brush off Exile and take a listen again get to hear the gritty essence ot it, but all in all not a bad cover and would have been cool to see this on halloween.
I know. This guy is getting a YouTube Phish experience, and thinks that his judgement of the night is accurate. This show was BAD ASS !!! It blew me away, and I can't get over the whole weekend. I've re-instated myself into a Phish Phreak ( as if I wasn't already. )Critics will rant, and rave, and come, and go, but unless you were at the show, you just wouldn't know. I'm SO glad I went. Worth every cent in this shit economy. So I agree that he said the biggest understatement eva! Respects ~ Remy
Dude you only think that b/c you weren't there. They blew people away on Halloween night, and besides what does Mick Jagger have anyways other than an accent I can't understand. Trey did "soul" awesome that night. It was a spiritual experience for everyone. I was 6 rows from the front, and it was the best set I've ever heard them do live. No version of Divided Sky could've assuaged me that night. You woulda shit your pants if you saw this live, this YT version is NOTHING to the real thing.
Trey's voice sounded so great! So nice to have him sober again and not such a hot sloppy mess up there!

Don't really like phish walked out on 2 of their sets before but I was struck in awe at this one.
They did a fantastic job covering one of the greatest albums of all time.

amazing how many a-holes are talking throughout the entire song. This is why I rarely go to concerts anymore.

If you were at any Phish show you wouldn't feel that way. Especially this show.

I was thinking the same thing! That's the difference in the West Coast casual vs. the East Coast Hardcore!

besides Gordo flubbing the ending, this was stellar. Wouldn't be surprised to see it reappear in a trey or phish show. Great performance!!
