Why would you say it only happens once in the real world? They get deployed quite a lot, especially in the post 9/11 world and with the war in Iraq.

He's talking about the manner in which they're stacking up. He's not commenting on how often they're deployed.

They have actually only been called a few times. I think it was 2 or 3.

actually i looked it up, it said they have been on over 200 missions, including some in iraq and afghanistan!

If I am not mistaken, in a period of one year they ran about 200 missions. Several of which included missions in Afghan Land and Iraq.
