  • The Apocalypse Song. One my favorites in the Smile album, pretty creepier and darker.

  • This is one of my favourite tracks from the Smile album and believe you me either this LP was ahead of it's tiume or not. This is the kind of album many young folks need to hear that'll give them creative ideas to make a good album even if it's retro.

  • Mike Love can be seen rolling his eyes during the promo film for Fire, he was clearly mocking Brian's new musical direction. From Pet Sounds to SMiLE he was uneasy with what he called Brian's "ego music."

  • @dumbangel75 Mike Love represents repression. Who knows how much of a downer that goofball actually was to their development. I have no doubt that he was a part of the negative force kept the Beach Boys from going where the could have gone, where they were naturally heading. aka reaching their potential.

  • Pouidg,

Typical for music prior to 12/66? Some examples might help your holier than thou argument.

  • @wryoung1962: I don't think Brian was ahead of its time for doing that since those things belong to the past, to the 60's. Listen to the begining of "Flaming" ( strange coincidence ), or "Pow R. Toc H" by Pink Floyd , or take a look at "Noise with John Cage (1966) " .. I don't say it's like 'element fire', but those songs and 'element fire' are really 60's oddities ..

  • This is the song that made Mike Love soil his tighty whities.

  • Don't get me wrong, I love Brian, but it wasn't ahead of its time at all .. It's just the creepy and wrong side of experimentation, typical 60's stuffs.

  • @pouidg It might not have been ahead of its time but it was at the forefront of 60s psychedelia. Most of the most intense stuff was from around 1968-1972.

  • This is one of those tracks you wanna throw on for those that know nothing about The Beach Boys and dismiss them as a surf band.

    Uhuh, get ready. ;)

  • This song sounds like its from 2067, rather than 1967. Even now it seems ahead of its time!

  • Man this sound is even more creepish than Revolution 9 O_O

  • Makes you wonder how this progressive new sound would've changed the music industry in 1966, even today it still sounds way ahead of it's time.

  • @dumbangel75 I'm pretty sure Astronomy domine by Pink Floyd would have been more successful.

  • @explodingninjatrick True enough, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn was as far out as you could get in 67.

  • Funny to think the intro part was actually one of the many sections recorded for "Heroes And Villains." I didn't know that until I started reading the info in the box set!

  • FIRE: THE WORST NIGTHMARE OF MIKE LOVE, LOL

  • THIS SONG IS TOO MUCH FOR ITS TIME, IS JUST GREAT, NO DOUBT ABOUT WHY MIKE LOVE HAVE AFRAID OF THE NEW BRIAN'S MUSIC IN THE 60's.

  • thanx so much :) i appreciate it alot..people like u are the reason why good music is heard :)

  • @NEWGUY562 Got anymore requests?

  • @LeeroyPinkerton My Only Sunshine, Wonderful (try re-posting that again.... copyrights from EMI are such annoyance), Child Is Father of the Man, Surf's Up

  • @predlycon I dunno, if I re-upload it wouldn't it just get taken down again? I can see 'em though, so I guess certain countries can't see them...
