  • Thanks for posting, I have got this problem and you really shed some light on things...plus I am a recovering addict from pain pills. And you are pretty!

  • How long after the surgery were you able to go back to work?

  • you look like a drug addict. more like a crack whore lmaooo

  • Showing this to my husband who is having surgery 2 days from now. You have eased my mind, and with you never being under general, you and your humor will ease his. Thank you for this video.

  • thanks for making this video, i had my surgery a week ago. and the way my experience went was exactly like your. i put mine off for 6years, i feared getting it done. but finally got it done, as i have a job opprotunity coming up. loved the general anesthetic, and care afterwards has been a breeze so far. crossing my fingers, hope to catch more of your videos soon.

  • Thank you for posting this video. Our stories are so similar... I'm 38 and I've been living with this for 20 years. My surgery is in 4 days, and your video has helped me a lot. Thanks again !!

  • i had sergery on haloweenn two yers ago i had a braine tumer. thank you5. :)

  • Thank you for posting this video, i'm 17, and have had this for 2 years. two days ago I have my surgery form from my specialist, but i still need to wait for a date, get a physical, get blood tests etc. I was scared about the packing, was it hard to go to the washroom? Did it hurt at all? Thanks again for posting this video, I was getting very worried.

  • I just had surgery 5 days ago I was SO scared but like you said it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would. But unfortuatly I was sewed up I was never given the option and I didn't know that you could do it either way. So hopefully no infections!! I wish I would of seen ur video before surgery. But it's been 5 days and it really doesn't hurt as bad as it did before and to be honest showering makes you feel a hell of a lot better!

  • 4pples. I have had that damn cyst longer then you have been ALIVE. SCREW YOU for trying to scare others, when I AM laying down the truth. Go paint your nails black and listen to some emo if you can't man up. You are the first person I have EVER had to BLOCK. IDIOT ALERT. If he scared you, go look him up and you will see what a little ass he is.

  • HEY!!! --->[ 4pples }<---- you are a DOUCHE and if you were in arms length of me I'd bitch slap you for the inconsiderate douche bag you are.

  • It is different for everyone. Yes, I got a lot of pain meds. BUT: I was HONEST with my doctor and told him of my previous addictions to pills 25 YEARS AGO. I have a tolerance from hell. I need more then the average bear. Factor in also, that this was proved out when the anaesthesiologist had a hard time knocking me out. What you should be taking away from my cam, is that if you DO NOT have the surgery, you will suffer more long term.

  • I am speaking from my own personal xperience. I had this cyst for over 25 years and it was tunneling in two places inside my body. You need to understand: my fear of having that surgery, and then the reality post-op were two very separate things. They had to cut the nerve endings and blood vessels around the surgery area. Therefore, post-op. even with NO pain meds, I FELT OK. Obviously, I had to do things to PREVENT possible pain. I did not sit on my ass for over month. I laid on my side.

  • She is right about getting it taken care of right away, dont wait just get the surgery after the lancing because it WILL come back. Just keep in mind the most painful part is after the surgery when they 'pack' the wound for weeks... its not the tropical island vacation she's making it out to be trust me... its worth it though you must go through it, but just giving you a heads up on the pain and not to be mislead by the video

  • Guys listen trust me, she is making it seem way better than it really is. Im sorry but you have to hear the truth, not the sugar coating she is doing in this video. I believe she is being honest with her experience, but im telling you it is because she is taking all those drugs. I have never heard of any doctor prescribing all those she mentioned, thats nuts... and so chances are you will not be getting all those heavy drugs from your doctor... she was lucky...

  • I was just diagnosed with a pilonidal cyst - and referred to a surgeon. I'm very nervous about it as most of the videos on youtube are about how painful it is and how much it sucks and how the change of dressing is more painful than childbirth =\ (I'm using my man's account, but I am a woman). Mine is about the size of a walnut, so it's pretty small.

  • I am so happy your ok Paula and you always make the best info videos for all to learn from. Very courageous lady you are.

    Calvin & Chloe Bear
