I loved this video. It proves even horses with handicaps can do anything. My friend had a trail horse that was completely blind and she let her ten year old daughter ride her. That horse was unflappable! LOVE IT!

The grey is adorable! My appy mare is also blind in her left eye, and we start the barrel pattern on the left side as well. Hopefully with training, she will become as good as that horse!

wow i have never seen flags like that...i have always started in the corner and you go up the fence pick a flag up then come off the fence and theres a barrel in the center of the arena and you go beside it then down the other side of the arena and stick it..but great job

That is called 'speed & control'. PVC pipes that just lay on the top of the cones. Knock any part of the box over and it is a DQ.

We just call that class "Flags". Easy, pick up the flag from one bucket and stick it in the other bucket.

The best tip I can give you is to ride your horse all the time. Not just practice speed classes, but trail ride. Get to know your horse and then start patterns slow. Once your horse gets it, STOP PRACTICING! You will just sour your horse if you try over and over.

That class is called "speed & control." Object is to get in and out of the box, weave the cones down and back and go back in and out of the box. Timer starts when the horse first leaves the box and stops when the horse re-enters the box. Even though the timer has stopped, the horse must finish the pattern by leaving the box without knocking any part of it down for a qualifying time. Each knocked cone results in additional time added, but knocking down any part of the box is a DQ.
