  • haha best celly ever

  • god damn that moose has some balls, to still be grunting at you guys after shooting it

  • @megabroken666 Thanks. My buddy did an awesome job on the video camera!!! I darn near puked I was so worked up after getting the second arrow onto him. What an incredible hunt!!!!!! I see you're from Sweden, hopefully you are a Detroit Redwing Hockey fan...... several Swedes on the team. Good luck hunting!

  • One of the best moose bowhunting videos on the entire internet. I had an adrenalinrush just by watching it. Very good calling, very good shooting and nice filming! //Jonas, Sweden

  • lol whats with the guys reaction

  • Great shooting. The Mooseman Steve does one hell of a job. I've seen him do this many many times and it is amazing every time. He deffinatly is one hell of a bush man. I'm sure you found that out. Great job.

  • @GALLYSOUTLANDER Ya, he's crazy good at calling in large bull moose. Unbelievable guide!

  • Nice sledduck very nice we talked a while back I bagged my first moose this year a cow about 900 lbs north of wawa was a rush but won't come close to that!

  • you can stop wispering after the arrow is away...lol and grunting...lol but nice

  • @allanshoafrocks No you can't stop whispering and grunting, you don't want the moose to run a mile away and die. You want him to stay nice and close to save a lot of tracking and work.

  • What a FANTASTIC hunt, and EXCELLENT video. I just discovered this a few days and already I've watched it like 20 times. Your second shot in particular was EXQUISITE - you just tucked in in behind the leg perfectly, another two or three inches to the left and you'd of smacked straight into bone.

I've done a few bear hunts, and its amazing the bond that can develop between guide and hunter - which your video showed.

  • @marquisdenet Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it. Ya, the second shot couldn't have been placed any better. I'd like to say it was skill but as bad as I was shaking it was probably luck. The first shot was a little back because of the tree limb he was dragging and not to mention I was a nervous wreck. My guide was awesome and I will remember this hunt as long as I live. "You can't put a price tag on memories".

  • Well that looked humane

  • great moose

  • Ther's nothing like a good hunt for male bonding ! When you guys got that kill shot off, I could feel the high eminating from you two. Great hunt guys, very cool shit !

  • nice moose nice moose

  • Thats it, i'm moving to Canada...

  • so do it eat some of it or what???...i just started using a bow and want to go to canada to hunt !!!

  • @gracielover6379 Did I eat some of it??? Of course I did and so did my family, friends and co-workers. We just finished off the last package of steaks two nights ago and there's only a few packages of burger left. It's damn good, lean yet tender and much better for you than beef!!!!!!!!!! If you want to hunt moose in Canada call White River Air and book a hunt you won't be sorry. Their bear and moose hunts through MarMac Lodge are also outstanding.

  • @sledduck i only just started with bows, i might be 6 months at targets first before i venture out to canada. But ill be sure to save my money and head out there when im comfatable with targets...regards, charlie

  • @sledduck awesome video dude, i'm moving over to Canada :)

  • wow thats canada for u anerica sucks for hunting canada is tha bomb

  • @MrTapout42o Ya, it's tough to beat Canada when it comes to hunting opportunities.

  • Btw no offense but I'll take the 180 gr 308 slug over a carbon fiber twig with a razor blade on it! Lol good shootin all the same

  • Pretty intense there good clean shots man I don't bow hunt but my buddy and I walked up on a bull my first morning ever moose hunting around the wawa area rifle season my buddy hit his first shot at 30 yards and made a lung heart shot but being we were in a thicket of tags I rolled him over with a spine shot at about 100 yards when he was about 5 feet away from the thickest shit u ever seen iron sights 54.5 inch spread and I think your encounter would burn a hole in my brain as long as I live!

  • @Marshboyz1 You're correct. It burned a hole right through my brain and into my soul!!!!!!!! I highly recommend hunting them with a stick and string. It's a rush you will not forget.

  • how do you make sure you dont eat bullet fragments when you eat it

  • Nice video! You look quite pumped up after the second shot:-D Nice size bull too.

  • That was amazing! What an experience of a life time that must have been. When it got so close I was thinking, "holy crap! is he gonna shoot it yet?"

it looked like i was about to charge at you guys! Nice shot, i would have crapped my pants if a bull got that close to me lol.

What would have happened if he charged? was someone else behind the camera with a rifle at the ready?

  • @111dogon555 I pretty much just hunt deer, turkeys and rabbits on my dads farm in Michigan. So, when this huge bull wanted to go toe to toe with my guide at 15yds it was the most incredible hunting experience I'd ever had. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to go on a once in a lifetime hunt with White River Air. I'll never ever forget it and I can't thank my buddy enough for running the video camera for me. No guns allowed during archery season. You need to book a trip with these guys!

  • v n video good job my fellow hunter friend

  • @youngbuck1995 Thanks man. We hunters need to stick together and preserve the tradition. Good luck to you in the field.

  • niice hunt, ballsy move to call the moose out like that, i wouldnt mock another bull and stand in front of it, good shot too

  • Awesome moose man! glad to see an Ontario hunt on YouTube. We do have the best hunting in this province.

  • lol @ the guy who shot reaction

  • thats freaking intense holy shit... i'd stick with a rifle though, not big for bows.

  • @Firearms4Canada It was for sure BIG TIME INTENSE to have an animal that big wanting to do battle at 15 yds and closing. Thanks for the comment and good luck hunting.

  • @Firearms4Canada check out mooseman 2 on youtube this guide is there too!!!!

  • @archerymooseman awesome, thanks

  • That was the most awsome hunt I have ever seen. Wow!

  • That's scary! Would if you guys missed?

  • awesome hunt. good shots on a monster bull. i am from ontario, canada and it seriously offers some of the best hunting in the world. nice to see someone using archery tackle too. never shot one yet, hope to try sometime in the future. congrats.

  • what was a ruf cost of hunt??? tks good hunt

  • @Ianfleming000 Their hunts cost anywhere from $1500 to $7000 depending on how many hunters are in your party, if you hunt from a remote cabin or at one of their lodges, and if you want a guide or not. Their website has the cost breakdown. They have many successful unguided hunters every year during archery and firearm seasons. This is a very inexpensive option and if you and a few buddies watch a DVD and learn to call it's a great hunt. A guy last year took a 61"er unguided!

  • 4:17 nice back pack and camo .... What brand it's that?

    Good shoot !

  • @vxAREKxv Sitka Gear is the name of the camo........it's pricey but worth every penny!

  • That was one awesome hunt, Congrats!!

  • well I never had moose but did whitetail deer.I don,t like deer meat.As far as ton of work yes it worth it indeed cause meat too costly. They weight about a ton too.Glad you enjoyed that day.

  • Comment removed

  • i don,t hunt. Was woundering are you really to shoot them in the water?Seems hard to get them in the freezer. But in water they got a tad disadvantage.

  • @7466309change You can shoot a moose while it's in the water as long as they're not swimming. And yes it was a ton of work packing all of the meat out of the bush. But well worth the effort because the meat is tender, lean and tastes great.

  • Stupid sport

  • @maxpuissant2 if it's a stupid sport why the hell are you watching videos of it on youtube? Stupid person.

  • 2nd shot was better than the first

  • @R0022 Ya, I'm sure glad I was able to get the second shot into him.

  • the guy with the bow and arrow looks like he's on something

  • @greenbaykj1 yea adrenaline you should try it.

  • @wileyisme

oh yeah i didnt think about that. your right

  • Beautiful animal, and great shot, good to see someone using a bow and arrow.

  • @ligaessamerda Sorry you feel this way as you eat your cheeseburger or wear your leather belt and shoes. Yes, we did pack every bit of the meat out including the rib meat and my family has not purchased any red meat from a market since September!!! It's excellent tasting. Please don't criticize me for killing my own food rather than hiring assassins to do the dirty work for me like some people who must have their meat in clean plastic wrappers. My license fees support sound conservation!

  • @vthuntress Both shots were between 15 and 17 yards! He was actually turning and coming to challenge the guide on the second shot. The guide I had is crazy. You have to be a little nuts to challenge an animal that big to a fight. When they're that close it gets the heart pumping BIG TIME!!!! As you can see North to Adventure's White River Air offers fantastic moose hunts. They run a party success rate of 80% for one bull moose (unguided). And over 90% for one on one guided hunts.

  • THIS WAS AAAAAAASSOME

  • that must have been hell getting that monster out of the marsh....nice moose though

  • Very Good! Great Hunt, I would have been on edge!!! That Bull crossing and grunting the whole while!!! I've hunted NWT & BC for different Animals, but never Ontario. How is it bringing in Firearms and gear? Moose is one of the last of the NA big game animals I lack for my, well the new room I'll have to build. I will be in touch with the Outfitter. Great Job! Congrats!

  • @NRALifer1 Thanks. When you go to the outfitters website you'll be pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive their hunts really are. I was on a (one on one guided hunt) but they also offer a bunch of hunts for the DIY guys. They even have drive-in and train-in hunts in addition to the fly-in hunt, which is the one I was on. I guarantee you will not find better accommadations on a remote hunt!!!!! Their cabins are simply awesome. Good Luck

  • EXCELLENT shot! Nice bull!

  • Looks like someone got an adrenalin rush RIGHT HERE. Was it the archer?????? Not much can beat this once you've experienced it this way eh? Sometimes, it all comes together. Good job!!

  • This moose would look good on one of my Big Game Trophy Plaques.

  • nice shooting man, i live in White and we have had some great hunts even without guides

  • @TheUgabooga5 Thanks. This is by far the greatest hunt I've ever had or ever will have. You must know Dan Maclachlan, with White River Air, if you live in the White River area. Him and his wife Brandi are first class quality people, what a great family. I've been fishing with them ever since they took over the fly-in business almost 20 years ago.

  • GREAT MOOSE BUDDY...AM STILL AFTER MY FIRST MOOSE....GOOD HUNT..

  • @heavyweight23 Thanks man. Hopefully you'll get lucky like I did and get one next time you get a chance to hunt them.

  • Awesome job guys, I've been archery hunting them for almost 20 yrs in Ontario now and nothing compares to the rush of hunting a rutting bull.

  • @fishquestcrew You're right it's a big time rush and something I'll never forget. It's very good eating also.... much better than whitetails.

  • @ss19800 You are right you can't shoot a moose when it's swimming that's why I waited until you can see light under/behind his front shoulder before shooting. Look close and you see he is definitely not swimming.

  • when you have a guide that knows what he is doing you get good results lol

  • @aCRAYONiHAS Thanks. It was a great hunt! We always seem to have good fishing and hunting trips with North to Adventure's White River Air. That's why we started making a few videos for them....... they're a quality outfit. Don't brag my cameraman up too much........ his head is beginning to swell. We've been best buds since we were little kids. He did an okay job with the camera...ha ha.

  • What do you need to do to be able to hunt in Ontario, Canada?

  • @BurningFumes You need a past hunting license from the state/province you live in or I think you can show proof of an approved hunters safety course. I'd call White River Air to make sure on this........ I'm from Michigan and they asked me to bring up an old hunting license.

  • @123yofault Sorry about that.... it's just that I've had tons of people wanting to know exactly where we were hunting. No we were not at Gourlay Lake...... but that is a great lake to fish and hunt!

  • @123yofault If you've been fishing or hunting with White River Air, MarMac Lodge or Lodge Eighty Eight (together they call themselves North to Adventure) you know they have cabins on over 30 different lakes. If I said exactly what lake we were on than everyone would think that's the best spot to go. This is quality outfitter and will put you on the best lake possible for success. Last year they had an archer take a 60+ incher on a remote road hunt. Their area covers over 10,000 sq. miles!

  • @sledduck

Nice moose for a Canadian moose which are smaller than the Yukon moose we have in Alaska, if you want a moose 60 + give me a call because my clients don't shoot anything under 60 inches on my Alaskan moose hunts .

Great video and you got real lucky with that moose it didn't run for miles .

  • solid camera work too - what camera did you use? awesome!

  • @keebler69 We use Sony HDR-CX150 1920 x 1080 HD cameras. These little cameras are fantastic. Very good in low light conditions and simple to use..... only knock is that you can't plug in a wireless mic. For the price they can't be beat.

  • @sledduck thanks for the info. fantastic quality. i just bought a Drift Innovation HD170 headcam. Sound is terrible, but it's designed for adventure racing. will try to send you a pm with some recent footage. you should use those as well to get some fantastic POV footage to edit in with your regular footage. thanks.

  • wow steve took my father out 3 years ago and called in the bull the exact same way, except he charged head on. And My father punched the arrow straight through the chest. you can read about his hunt written up in ontario monster whitetails..

CONGRATS ON AN AWESOME MOOSE! Great Shot as well!

  • @snowridgecowgirl i will never forget that experence it was one of the best ones i wish i took the camera then ...

  • AWSOME....how do u beat this !!! U gotta watch the fishing video's by these guys too. Looks like a super place to fish as well. NEED TO BOOK A TRIP NOW !!!

  • @blackduck8891 They do have great fishing for huge pike, brook trout, lake trout and tons of walleye. The pilots are some of the best and the aircraft they fly are top notch. Cabins are great too.

  • Way to go Brother..Your the best Moose Man out there !!!!

  • Absolutely the best raw hunting footage I've ever seen!!!!!! The emotional release afterwards is what it's all about. NOTHING STAGED HERE.

  • That was freakin Great guys. Way to call him and great shooting. AWESOME!!!!

  • @blacktailbuckee Thanks. As you can tell it was big time intense and I was a little rattled after the shots. I'll remember it forever. I just tryed my first moose burger and it tastes great.

  • Your awsome cousin, see you around Dave

  • Awesome Hunt!!! Wow! is the only thing that comes to mind
