  • we got a 77 mercury runabout

  • I never thought I'd be saying this, ROFL!!! but that's a nice-looking Pinto

  • Nice! Check out my V8 Mustang II vids..

  • As a former owner of a '73 Pinto, I have 2 questions about the Pangra. First, where the hell are the headlights? And second,... Why?

  • @LonLofgren do a google search for - cookieboy pangra - and click the link for vintage pinto info pangra cookieboy's toys and all your questions will be answered :o)

  • hear this song one more time im going a puke

  • @freakyflow I agree... youtube swapped it out for the original song Van Halan Panama because of copyright issues and their F$%CK#@G Audio Swap refuses to let me swap it for a different song, have tried several times!

  • @cookieboystoys I think you have to add in your descripion you hold no rights to the song or group ..i have done some songs with WMG and nothing was touched Hate fords but thats a sweet ride

  • The headers are the headman hustler under chassie style race header.....Not sure if they still make them if they do they'd be in the 400-500 dollar range......awesome looking car by the way!!

    Dino

  • Do you know what headers these are?

  • @289pinto sorry, no I don't. I know the engine is mouted w/an engine plate and doesn't use normal motor mounts. I suspect these headers wouldn't work if you used standard motor mounts in normal positions.

  • @cookieboystoys Ahh, makes sense. I have a set of heddman headers on mine and they even required some mods, with factory type engine mounts. Thanks.

  • i haven't seen one of these in so long i had forgotten that they existed, i only saw a couple of them on the road.

  • That is one sweet Pangra. Mean in Green

  • Very cool car and the color is nice to.

  • kick ass

  • They should have used YES's "roundabout" for the theme music.

  • it was..... Van Halen - Panama - before YouTube made me swap it for copyright stuff, that has happened to a lot of my videos :-(

  • Ive been doing a lot of research on v8 swaps for pintos.A lot of guys say that 5.0L shorty headers will work if you turn them around and exit the exhaust out the front.Well, i got the shortys and whaddya know, they wont fit.Looks like im gonna have to do a little torching to the frame to make it work, which i did NOT want to do.

  • that sux, sorry to hear they didn't fit. I have heard the same thing too.

  • Look for heddman mustang II hedders for small blocks, there probably the closest to fitting without cutting everything apart but will still require a bit of clearancing on the passenger side.

  • blackjack headers(long tube) for mustang II.mount to motor without tranny and put comealong on end where the collectors mountbend them in till you hit block with NO heat.then cut your c-4 bellhousing on band saw till it clears headers.now get a splined coupler(u joint) that fits your rack and straight shaft and weld or bolt it to the u-joint at firewall.mustang II motor mounts work with these headers.i got this info from a guy that built 13 v-8 pintos.i drove this car i had for 4 years every day

  • Since the last time i commented on this,i bought a 289 out of a 67 cougar, the manifolds point straight toward the firewall, just the way i want it so i can just bend pipe downward and out the back.I know i wont have headers but im more into street cruising than i am racing so no worries there. Thanks for the info though, its all interesting just in case i change my mind down the road.

  • WOW, great video. This is a super rare dealer built PANGRA, one of only 55 built. It originally had a 4 cylinder with an AK Miller turbo on it. Do you know how to get in contact with the owner. I have a PANGRA and I am trying to start a registery of the cars, counting this one there is only about 10 left that we now of!

  • Hey Mike, I know the owner and history of this car. Unfortunatly it's not a real Pangra and was built many, many years ago to match the original cars. Thanks for the comments.

  • Awesome

  • Im putting a 302 in my 77 pinto.I believe in gonna have to cut some of my firewall to get the engine to sit evenly over the front wheels. That means removing the heater permantly, ahh who cares long as it makes noise and gives you whiplash, lol

  • I believe that 74 and up cars are slightly larger in the engine compartment. I saw a 77 this week with a 302 and no cutting of sheet metal was done. No room for headers but the stock cast iron manifolds fit well.

  • How did you get a V8 into that pinto? Did you have to cut the firewall at all? I think that is very cool. My first car was a 72 pinto.

  • it's not my car, just one of many I have seen and took pictures of. I don't recall noticing the fire wall cut but I'm sure some metal was moved to fit it in... core support was cut out like some V8's are done.

  • Hey!, isn't this a re-run ?

  • Yes, I reorganized and am re-posting all of my videos on this account vs. having the 2 different accounts. Thanks for watching :o)
