I'm a bit surprised a comment I made 2 years ago has gotten so highly rated, and I've still got people replying to me. I would like to update with something real quick:
The main thing I want to mention is that in 2010 Cartoon Network premiered a good couple of cartoons that I actually really like. Adventure Time, Regular Show, Robotomy, MAD, Generator Rex, Sym-Bionic Titan, and Young Justice. Seriously check these shows out, it really feels like CN's finally heading back in the right direction.
@BloodRedFox2008 Adventure Time and the regular show. The embodiment of everything I grew up with (But Regular show's crude and sometimes adult humor appeals to the present me). ADVENTURE TIME :D
@hinatarocks88888 But where would the fun be if he learned from his mistakes? I think it would be better if WE only learned from his mistakes. That way, we can keep laughing.
Anime is hit or miss. Code Geass & Death Note are examples of well written anime. Badly written anime........anything that was dubbed by 4kids. 95-99.9% of american made shows from the 90's were great, especially anything produced by Warner. They tended to make stuff that would be funny no matter how old you were, example: original loony toons (60's &up) vs original disney cartoons (same time period) BTW, Reboot's from Canada.
At the moment anime is better than most American animation TODAY. The 90s, however, was a different story. Back then just about every American made cartoon on TV was awesome in every way. Today... most American made cartoons suck. I think the final nails in the coffin were when Nickelodeon became "Nick" and focused more on teen drama, Cartoon Network canceling all of it's good shows, and Disney Channel becoming "The Hannah Montana and High School Musical Channel." Oh man I miss the 90s.
I agree. I miss those days as well. I don't even bother to watch any of the animation pushed out today. They're indescribably terrible! 80s/90s shows had adventure, personality, good vs evil, witty humor and intelligence. None of today's cartoons have this stuff, tis why we hate them so much. I hate them to the point where I wish they didn't exist. Instead, I collect all my favorite shows(like this one) on DVD.
I think The League of Super Evil has the original cartoony situation down- not 100% original, but still keeping the good stuff in the modern cartoon channels
@BloodRedFox2008 You Are Totally Right! Even Though I Dont Like Anime... It Does Seem Like The "Best Out There For The Moment" A Cartoon Isn't A Cartoon Unless It Has Traditional Animation. Not Real People.I Esspecially Hate All These "Teenage Drama" Shows. They Not Even Funny, Or Dramatic. I Think These Are Taking Over The Networks Because They Are Cheaper To Make... Even Cartoon Network (The Network Thats Known For Traditional Cartoons) Is Starting To Get Into The "Live Action" Thing.
@BloodRedFox2008 And by "good shows," you must mean animation in general. I can handle animation I don't like, and for the most part I actually like the animation on the channel, and at least It's animation. It's all the sub-par LIVE ACTION (What the...?) that the "CN," must seem to think people like. If people actually DO like the live action shows, I weep for society -- WEEP. T___T But, Yeah -- Totally agree with you there.
@BloodRedFox2008 you know i see this a lot. lots of things, cartoons, video games, all these things they liked as a kid the ones made today arent as good. they were great back then what happened? how did they change?
they didnt.
you did.
you changed. you got older. and when you were a kid there was a generation your age now saying how those cartoons arent as good as theirs were. your tastes changed.
you may look at those old cartoons and still feel that same joy, but that is the joy of nostalgia
American cartoons these days suck. I miss the days of Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Batman, Darkwing Duck, Reboot, etc. I try to watch cartoons nowadays, but they just don't measure up. But anime still has some good stuff coming out.
Oh, me and my Jewish humor, I better stop befor the flamers come. :)
Miss this show, I agree- COME BACK 1990s! Things were cheaper, I was a kid, and even if I wasn't- I could afford gas, a car, and actually get a job to pay for those things
here I go being nostalgic. One afternoon, when I was sick, remember seeing the bald head skit (Ralph the guard in the seat, on the conveyor belt, against his will going into the hot wax machine. The part that really made me split my sides was with the many clones of Dot in the office cubicles acting as telephone operators.

YES!!!!! Unfortunatly, these guys ruined P&TB's chance of taking over the world and The Warners' chance to annoy more people to death.
