False they went down which started in 2008 --a 3 year decrease from the last admin of different percentages. Your father is retired and they need to stop taxes for those on fixed income. It did not get bad for your dad in one year..its steadily been getting worse. The elderly pay taxes and have to pay for health insurance which is Medicare and a backup insurance and they cannot afford this and why we need change--the republicans caused this.
