I knew there was a deaf lady on the show! I kinda forgot about Linda, but slightly remembered her. What happened to her? & was she really Bob's love interest?, cause weren't they always together?
Sesame Street started to get silly after Jim Henson died. For instance, they started to "jump the shark" with episodes like this; too coy and over sweetened.
But in the last 15 years it's gotten incredibly infantile. All of these baby-character puppets teach kids to use baby-talk. They used to have short clips where you'd see the inside of a crayon factory, or a post office, or a dentist. Now it's full of overdone crap.
Maybe, but wouldn't that same logic translate into eating poo? and I doubt they did a study on such a thing, but if they did I'm all ears, personally I think children get enough exposure to germs, you know playing with worms and in the mud, jam on their faces nearly all the time etcetera.
Yes jam on childrens faces is usually quite ''germy'', think about it, the germs have a hot moist and high glucose environment to live in...unless the moisture level is very low you're going to have quite a few bacteria on your face...no poo is not sterile and neither is urine, that's a damn myth...urine is ''nearly sterile'' but is not sterile, and peeing on your jellyfish sting will just make your leg smell.
Oh, Jam makes sense then. But Urine is sterile, until it leaves the body, or you have an infection. It is only once the bacteria hits it that it loses its sterility.
WRONG, why do people have such a habit of regurgitating myths? if you've ever talked to a urologist or indeed corroborated what you say before you say it then you would know that you are indeed incorrect, now I could give you the name of a study which supports what I say, but you won't remember it unless you search for yourself, would you? I don't spoonfeed people.
yes it does! Since Jim Henson passed away, it has gone down hill. And with no Don Music anymore is really bad! I hate Elmo & he has stolen & ruined the entire show plus some of those new characters rosita, zoee, and baby bear. Now it's more for the inner city kids (hispanics&foriegners) and gifted children.
Where did you download all these clips from? My son is 9 monthes old and loves watching Sesame Street. I'd like to download the older Sesame Street Episodes for him to watch.
I do, however, feel that cartoons and childrens programming today are somewhat worthless for educational purposes. They take old fairytales and change them in such a way that the original meanings and morals are lost. I prefer the old shows. I think kids don't have to be kept in a bubble.
I'm surprised to see Oscar actually care about something.

They still have those, and sesame Street has changed to reflect current beliefs in Child Education.
Its not what it was, but the kids still like it.

Children like putting snots in there mouth's too, doesn't mean it's good for them now does it.

I don't think Jam is germy...
But poo is actually devoid of nutritional value, and until it reaches air, its actually sterile. Or was that urine? It was one of them.
I was really using nose-picking as an example of how not everything kids do is bad for them.

You're right. I did go and do a search. I was wrong.
Now I have to go find the place I heard the first one and correct them XD
But too right on the I won't remember unless I do it myself. Thats the fundamental idea behind my education.
