  • Very useful video. Thanks very much. I am studying Photoshop at the moment and the text on slicing is a little confusing to this has helped a bunch. I will be subscribing with pleasure and hopefully will pick up some more gems. Thanks again! :-)

  • best tut ever man! thank you so much i am gladly saying that i will subscribe.

  • thanks for the Tutorail.

  • nice, thanks

  • Very good tut. I used to know all of this before but I'm glad I found this and refreshed my memory!

  • Thanks very much for this video tutorial, it's helped out lot's :)

  • Oh so if i wanna embed a video i have to make a slice in the area for it in photoshop

  • thanks, very helpful.

  • i do have 1 question on your page bar on the bottom you have the bg bar to change the image from a normal foreground image to a background image i have dreamweaver cs4 would i have that feature?

  • thanks.. nice tutorials!..

  • does anyone still use dreamweaver? because i don't get taught this software in lessons anymore because its so old....

  • Hahaha, Dreamweaver is one of the most used application to create and upload website and many other things, where have yuou been all these years? By the way, great tutorial, thanks!!!

  • Yeah, both Dreamweaver and this tutorial are great

  • dreamweaver isnt old they update their CS ever so many years and yes alot of web designers use dreamweaver still

  • try to make more complicated layouts end export it to Dreamveawer it's very interesting.. I will wait...

  • Oh my god, thank you very much! I was having some trouble figuring out how to make the body to type text so I can use it to update my website.

    You're a life saver, thanks a bunch!

  • Your tutorial explains the background information, not just how to do things very interesting and informative. Thank you.

  • Could you please tell me how to make slices as background images so I can use it as a textbox.

The "BG" doesn't let me type the image source, only lets me enter a a HEX colour.

    Thanks :)

  • I have the same problem

  • same problem here... no idea..

  • what size should i make ?

  • slicing in photoshop creates too many tables and when you add a bigger content the layout starts expanding and moves up and down? is there a way how not to create tables in photoshop..wud really appreciate to know that

  • Think you could go over creating a basic layout in photoshop. show us how u got to the point of slicing

  • oh great!! thanks!

  • after finishing slicing i go to Dreamweaver CS3 to start making hyperlinks from them. Now every time i type something in the " Link " bar when trying to make hyperlinks, and press enter to finish, slices depart from each other, leaving white stripes between them.

  • comprehensive and simple, thank you!

  • Thanx alot man................

  • This tutorial is alright, but maybe you should have explained the difference between picking JPEG and GIF and how changing the quality or ammount of colors could change how fast your site will load. Maybe you should also point out that, atleast in Windows, Photoshop will create automatic slices for the little things that you might miss.

    Overall I give it a 4/5.

    Pretty good tutorial.

    Yours,

    Shane~

  • Realy thank you it's help so much

  • U man...have just saved me hours of work..

    I did Subscribe :wob:

  • Awesome just got me out of a tight spot!

  • How do you position text to anywhere i want on Adobe Dreamweaver CS3?

BTW great vid, helped me alot :D

  • same problem

  • Waist my time? Are you kidding me? You are giving me gold!

  • ooooooooooooooh! I get it. Thank you!

  • good tips. not confusing at all

but isn't there a slice tool in dreamweaver?

  • DAMNN, thank you!!! I knew how to slice and all, but I used to slice my layout, save it as images, then add the images in dreamweaver in a table, but that was rather confusing and it took a lot of time, with the save for web, that problem is solved, and I can easily add text and such... THANKS SO MUCH, if I could subscribe 100 times I would, because your channel is simply amazing... You rule!

  • YOU ARE AWESOME HOWARD!

  • Love the tutorials, man! Keep 'em coming!

  • and so are you.

  • nce man... and tht hurts it rly does.... Sry to say this type of html is out of date its all css now this is only good for the images now

  • so true!

  • ty 1 millon times men!!! i gonna make my web right now xD

  • Very Helpfull!! Thanks Howard! :)

  • thank you

  • harold, what screen recording program are you using? I just switched to mac, thankfully, and im looking for a good one. Thanks!

  • his name is Howard you idiot!

  • alright, jeeze, calm down

  • I think he said he's using the programme called

    IShowU, its pretty good.

  • Doesn't photoshop put those images in a table?

    It's fine if you're a complete html/css-beginner and you need a site.

But it's preferable to look into using divs for page-layout in stead of tables.

    Nevertheless good tut.

    THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID.

  • tyvm

  • Great tutorial! I wish this was out a few months ago when I was desperately searching for one, but nevertheless, amazing and I'll be able to come back to this later on in the year. I was wondering though, you spoke of Adsense codes, where can one attain these codes to put on your website and what exactly do they do, besides advertise obviously. (ex. do you get money to having them on your site or is it purely free advertising)

Thanks for the great tutorial Howard!
