dk was too moralistic in a flimsy way. can a post 9/11 joker actually escape from a police cell in the manner he had? you could argue poetic license but then BB worked because they grounded batman in reality (what could work and what blantantly doesn't) where DK was trying to adhere to the same formula but found itself in fantasyland every now and then.

I mean, it surely had all the mentioned bat-nipples, gadgets and a lot of colorful interiors and exteriors, making a cheesy schtick out of it, but on the other side, Val played a very decent Batman (unlike Clooney or even Strepsils-talk Bale), Carrey portrayed The Riddler perfectly just as T. L. Jones did , I mean, all in all, the movie was a nice change to Burton's darkness. And besides, never had a movie a cooler title song than U2's Hold Me, Thrill Me...
