  • You see that thing there its called a microphone lol xD

  • I would much rather the Bodysnatcher DVD than a pair of sodding glasses.

  • Would've been good if you left some links to the videos you told us to check out in the description...

  • Ben lokas video is terrible, worst of the top 3 by far

  • BOO! BEN LOKA GOT THE MOST VOTES SO HE WINS! BLEH! BBC you suck!

  • do they do this every year???

  • BenLoka, even u didn't won the competition, u r the true winner from all of them.

    BenLoka ruleeeee...!!!

  • Mikaka's response was the best hands-down. Well edited, funny, honest. Great.

  • Wow, he looks weird when he doesn't have his Kryten makeup on.

  • but he looks COMPLETELY normal with it on

  • Okay, BenLoka is the most popular. BenLoka actually follows the guidelines unlike agent24hourbauer. WTF why didn't he win? But I'm proud of how he took it in stride and his video response is hilarious.

  • i agree

    :)

  • Thank you!

    Anyway, no one cares now.

  • "...and his video response is hilarious."

Hilarious in the sense that it was really shitty?

  • Hilarious in the sense that it is funny to normal people.

Don't know what your problem is.

  • pfft. should've been BenLoka or Mickaka.

  • Methinks Robert was a bit biased. The winner and the runner-up played close attention/homage to him and his character.

  • Ben Loka should have won!!!

  • Benloka was the most popular...yet he didn't win..sure, why not.

  • WTF WHY DIDENT BENLOCKA WIN

  • I have this to say about bbc... its not as bad as fox news

  • If only I knew that before hand.

  • Congratulations to Oracle Entertainment and Agent 24 Hour Bauer on winning! To clarify to the others that entered, a short list of 20 videos were emailed to Robert Llewellyn to choose the winner. The short list was determined by the 20 most favourited videos by Saturday 17th November. In his winner announcement video, Robert also picked out some of the short listed entries who he felt deserved a special mention.

    Sarah

  • Thanks for the clarification.

  • Mhmm..

  • was wicked all round - also a great tool to say "Hey BBC red dwarf is still popular, we are still here, having not long ago been rated 2nd best sci fi program ever behind dr who you would think with such demand for more they could at least give the whole red dwarf group a few quid for even like a special episode similar to an only fools christmas eps etc" anwyays well done all most enjoyable an congrats to winner an runenrs up

  • Well, at least I got a mention, well done all!

  • me too

  • Oh yeah I was gonna do this and I forgot. Oh well..

  • Well done to the winner!

OMG Kryten said my name!! - this is prize enough =)

  • Why isnt your red dwarf vid on your youtube channel?

  • Well done to the winners, it would have been nice if the short list was published though. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to know who made it that far.

  • Just go to the list of video entries and look at how many 'favourites' each one has. Simple as that!

  • That doesn't say which ones made the short list. One of the vids Robert mentioned about got one less vote than DickGhostmoon and one more than mine but I don't know if either of ours made the list! I just think it would have been nice to have been told if you'd made the list after all that was the point of the public vote.

  • How could DickGhostmoon not make the short list if a film with one less vote was on it?

  • I agree with the phantomMonk. The winner was great but his video was favorited 50 times before anyone else had even submitted an entry. Voting by favoriting or rating is just not a fair way to judge a competition on Youtube. Most people who know how Youtube works would agree.

  • Which is why the final decision was a judgement by Robert, not just based on votes!

If it had been based solely on votes, Benloka, a later entrant, would have won - yet many of his favourites came from having an established viewership.

Surely the fact that the winner WASN'T just based on favouriting makes it fair?

  • "Voting by favoriting or rating is just not a fair way to judge a competition on Youtube."

Which explains why Robert picked a winner, rather than the Favourites deciding everything.

Not that the timing seemed to make much different, given Benloka's success...

  • Yes but The runner up didn't review anything at all. It's a bit like having a competition for the best red car and giving the runner up prize to a blue car.

  • Hooray for the winner!

  • well done all that took part and especially to Abasudika ( Dan) Well done to the winner whose video was great :)

  • we wanna see the either a movie or a

new series (what really happens when one

kicks death in the jewelry) :D

  • Yay! I was the runner up. Big congrats to oracleentertainment on winning. hmpf I wanted the glasses...lol. The DVDs will do me though :) Thanks BBC and especially Rob, glad you liked the video!

  • yay! congrats to the winner!

  • Good lord - that's me! Amazing! Thanks Bobby, and thanks everyone for voting for / watching my vid!

  • Congratulations oracleenetertainment, and also Agent24HourBauer! Get in touch with us by private message, and we'll organise the delivery of your prizes for your enjoyment!

    Have a great weekend,

    Ben

  • Btw. Congrats to the winner, nobody could compete with those superior graphics. lol. Fantastic comp, lets do it again!

  • Mint! I got a special mention from Kryten himself. Coooool...Was my sound really that bad? I can't afford a microphone, I did it in my conservatory! x

  • Such a shame we couldn't hear what you said in the film. You can get a mike like Robert's for 15 quid - it's definitely worth it. Such a shame an impressive filming and acting job was scuppered by us not being able to make out what you said.

Congrats on the mention, though. Much deserved.

  • Where bouts can u buy cheap mics then? I need one if I'm ever to make a new film. (so that no one will complain about sound!)

  • Amazon's as easy as anywhere, I guess. A quick search shows a new-or-used clip mike available at under a tenner (or under 20 for brand new).

BTW, didn't you also enter the Dwarf DVD fan film comp?

  • Haha. Yes. Yes I did. I was the moron in the blonde wig. Haha. One of our other clips with my friend Paul in got shown too. How'd u guess? x

  • I have my ways...

  • Haha fair dos. x

  • Please re-dub the sound and upload it again when you get a mic. I'd love to hear it as it should sound. It looks great!

  • I love the BBC and I really love Red Dwarf. But are the beeb struggling with funding because the lighting is c***?

  • Great competition, and nice final annoucement too. I enjoyed entering. Well done to those who were given a mention and of course to those who won and came runnerup!

  • Congrats to the winner!
