His appearance in FF Special was little more than a non-canon cameo (hence being labeled "Dream Match"), but FF: Wild Ambition, which, being a retelling of FF1, ostensibly takes place in 1991, features him in his thirties as Mr. Karate. How do you get that "flash" during the parry? as far as I could tell, the flash appears if you parry more than 1 hit consecutively (i.e it won't flash on the first parry) . But I'm not 100% sure.

By the actual chronology, Ryo should be about ten years older than Terry, and about twenty years older than Kyo.
So his actual appearance should resemble New Mister Karate, because Ryo should really be about fifty or so.

How do you get that "flash" during the parry? as far as I could tell, the flash appears if you parry more than 1 hit consecutively (i.e it won't flash on the first parry) . But I'm not 100% sure.

It is best to just parry single hit moves, because if you multiparry you cannot buffer cancel into specials/supers.
But to answer your question multiparry just keep tapping forward + low kick, it is not automatic.
