Man, everyone says "Nintendo is too kid friendly and not enough shooting." Then they haven't played Metroid Prime and then this game looks amazing I can't wait to get it. I've played every Metroid game and can't wait to tplay this one.

@zseer - They do this to prevent you from using gamebreakers early on when you don't need them. They do this for every game, of course. Samus always loses her powerups at the beginning of each game somehow, this is the way they did it for this game (and also to make sure you didn't MISS any of them either like you could have possibly done so in the original Metroid which meant that you couldn't progress, like the Ice Beam to take care of the Metroids)

The best things about walkthroughs are: they help you when you get stuck on the game, if you can't decide whether to get the game or not you can see what's in it, you don't have to do gameplay if you just want to see the cutscenes, and if someone is talking when you're listening to a cutscene, you can go back and hear what you missed.

Dude this is one amazing game no matter what anyone says...the graphics are great for a console without HD and although the dialogue lack some feeling it allows the storyline to flow unlike most other games.
@Whaaaaaaattt This is the story that happen AFTER Super Metroid from the SNES system. In this timeline, Samus doesn't even know about Phazon and everything else she's come across in the Prime series.

This gave me reason to believe Prime was created afterwards, then again once Samus destroyed planet Zebes with the Metroids along with it, you'd thought Prime couldn't have way later on.

I just noticed. If you listen really closely to the background music around 6:53, you can here the classic Metroid music. It's really faint, but it's there.
@Tiniuc To an extent, I agree. I see little reason as to why she shouldn't see the Chozo as family. They raised her as their own for about ten years after all. They even gave her enhanced abilities and a suit that can lay waste to an army! At the very least, it's clear they see HER as one of their own, as family. Still, you can't raise a tiger among lions and think the tiger doesn't realize it doesn't quite belong somehow...

I dont think you get it, the franchise is ruined with not only the maginative interest of the character but the physical property is a problem as well. Your forgetting people hated this game because of the control scheme, the script writing, the personality and seeming impression of Samus submitting herself to man, while shes an independent bounty hunter, the fact that she experiences PTSD upon seeing her old nemesis for the 5th time, the loss of data collecting, short unlockables

i read the manga. ive seen and read all of it, its only 2 volumes right? The beginning is what really drew my interest. By the way Samus originally recieved that signal and began going to that research facility as an independent bounty hunter. She wasnt really working for anyone. She could have just explored the area with these troops as minor inconvience or interference in her own investigation.
In MP3 i know shes worked with troops before but not like this.

They look ridiculous for one thing (not a good shape), and just because you combine two good things doesn't mean you always get something better as in this case, or say combining chocolate with wine. LOL? Stop making straw man arguments, the issue here is about fictional characters only. It's ok to develop depth is a character's psyche, but this is not the case for videogame characters because they are vessels of the player's actions and thus it would be wise to let the players decide it's ''personality''.

i read the manga. ive seen and read all of it, its only 2 volumes right? The beginning is what really drew my interest. By the way Samus originally recieved that signal and began going to that research facility as an independent bounty hunter. She wasnt really working for anyone. She could have just explored the area with these troops as minor inconvience or interference in her own investigation.
In MP3 i know shes worked with troops before but not like this.

@Vader3123 It is NOt is good thing, it is a GREAT thing, now atleast they show more of the human side of Samus now she just need to find a way for happyness, which is noy way near for what i can see, but i will not say that I did not enjoy seeing her in her zero suit or kicking some alien buts

@Vader3123 I find it bad personally. They look ridiculous for one thing (not a good shape), and just because you combine two good things doesn't mean you always get something better as in this case, or say combining chocolate with wine. She also wasn't this endowed in previous games, so it crates a disconnect.

@kagurasaki that's the oldest excuse in the book....Every badass (both in real life & in video games) has emotions wether you like it or not....They're human beings with feelings....Frankly, everyone who is either a military officer or soldier goes through emotional times & that helps them learn how to work around them so they can fight with better focus....It seems that cases such as yourself are beating up Samus just becuase we got a look in her mind, which is state of the art pathetic >.>....

LOL? Stop making straw man arguments, the issue here is about fictional characters only. It's ok to develop depth is a character's psyche, but this is not the case for videogame characters because they are vessels of the player's actions and thus it would be wise to let the players decide it's ''personality''.

Do you really think the soldiers are the only ones who suffer PTSD? wrong.....
The developers intentions were not to give this character a personality, but to provoke pity in the audience, i guess you don't know how really PTSD is. I'm waiting fo your answer.

@kagurasaki actually I do know. Soldiers, Bounty Hunters, even civilians suffer from PTSD whenever they survive the horrors of the battlefield. So, with that in mind, my guess is either you watched the G4 review for this game or you're a fanfreak of COD and only got into this series because the Prime series was a first-person shooter >.>....

Actually, the first games i've ever played in my life were Metroid (NES) and super metroid, i was 3 years old, I didn't know G4 made a negative review of this game. I called this a ''tear jerking failure'' because, again, the intention here was to make the character more ''interesting'' with a fake PTSD and not to really contribute in it's development; they did good presenting the manga prequel story though.

@kagurasaki why, look at it from a REAL LIFE perspective. People believe that a "Badass"doesn't need emotions, yet they forget that even real life harden soldiers & officers cry during/after their experiences. People just don't understand that their perspective of a non emotional "Badass" is actually a psychological pattern for psychotics(Look it up). I have just started playing this game (finally) but I cant get to the item in that room with the lift, not the one in the hole but the one in the top right corner of the room
is it possible to get it at this stage or is it something you are able to get later on in the game (if its something you are able to get later on in the game please dont tell me how but I just need to know if this is the case so I can move on rather than waste my time trying to work out how to get it)

james is the deleter-caught tampering with the computer in exam building,is specialized in communication devices-obviously interfering with the troopers' communication devices,him and lyle have faded 07's on their helmets-and when samus triggers the cutscene with the guy tossing someone into lava,he has a faded 07 on his helmet which is after lyle was killed by james and eaten by the baby ridley.
