@VergilX20 Yes, you can blur out objects in motion. In Camtasia, you'll have to add blur callouts to match the motion. In Sony Movie Studio, you can move the blur with keyframes.
hey bill i am using camtasia studio 7.1 . I cant drag the blur call out. It too small to drag it. The drag mark doesnt appear and I cant drag.Help me!
@LULZatRape You can't lock on an object, just a position. If the object moves, you have to add another blur callout as it moves. Sometimes I have to use several blur callouts if the screen moves quite a bit.
@CPISGAY3 Callouts are one way to create text in Camtasia. But you can also import text graphics created in other programs (like photoshop), and use those as well. You can create lower third graphics, title graphics, video bugs and more using this technique.
I can get the blur callout to last long enough in the timeline but as the subject moves to follow the cursor the blur callout does not move. The subject slides out from underneath. Have you ever seen that?
Didn't know I could use pictures that are on my computer as callouts. Can you also take a picture and cover up an area such as a face that is moving around in a video by adding the picture callout many times frame by frame or is that too envolved for camtasia 6?
Can you unblur a screen capture done on camtasia if you had the photo..meaning can you bring a photo into camtasia and unblur what was blurred using camtasia..just wondering.
Just curious, is there a way to make the blur keep in effect for the duration of a zoom? When I zoom, the blur stays where it was placed while the information beneath moves outside of the blur.
Hello, thanks for the great video tutorial! I have another question, how do you create that great zoom effect? I know you can click with the mouse the + and - icons, but I can't get the auto-zoom function to work as smoothly as yours.
I don't use the autozoom in Camtasia. I prefer to create all my zooms in editing (not recording), and use the 'zoom & pan' feature from the edit menu.
thank you soooooooooooooooooo much
you really helped

@421saad To blur moving text, create multiple blur callouts, and place them over the text positions as it moves.

@machinam9gamer If the callout is too small on the screen, enlarge the callout by dragging the corners.

I think callouts were the only text for this movie editor. that's why I didn't like it, if I'm not mistaken.

Brandenburg IV:1 very nice.

When the target moves out of the blur, add another blur. I've sometimes used 5 or 6 blurs to cover a moving target.

Yes, you can do that in Camtasia. But it is usually easier to apply effects to camcorder video in a video editing program.

thanks but what if i need it for moving videos like i wanna blur a face ?? and it will move
rubyrocksox 2 years ago
You can move the blur, but Camtasia is mainly for editing computer screen captures, not so much for camcorder video.

Great series Bill, thanks.
I get how to use blur callout, but how can I get it to follow the zoom, in smartfocus.
Do I have to create a new callout for each stage of the zoom, in smartfocus.
adtextgenerator1 3 years ago
I never use smart focus, preferring to have more control on zoom and pans in my videos.
Not using smart focus eliminates a number of editing problems - at least for me

Camtasia doesn't have an 'unblur' effect.
You can import photos and paste them over any video track though.

so how do u get that yellow circl around the mouse
i have camtasia now
bthetomato 3 years ago
In Camtasia, select tools, recorder, then effects. Then set the cursor to be highlighted.
This will add the yellow circle around the cursor.
