Thanks for that, really helpful.... but, i'm still confused with the strumming rhythm for the E to C-minor part at the beginning, help? (yes i'm one of those stubborn beginners who's fed up with playing out of random books)
btw guys if you find it hard to slide down to the C# minor i suggest to all rookies dont use your middle finger when getting the feel for the song and then when your more confident give it a go
Dude Great lesson!! every tab site had this song played differently... you really put it together with good sounds and direction.... great lesson you really tought me the song .... hope you have more songs and lessons on here!!!
There are several, open notes in between the two repetitions of the opening lick. Those same notes are played before you do the power slide which takes you to the "pre-verse" portion. I don't know what the notes are called, but you play them on the 1st & 2nd strings, alternating. You can easily hear these notes on the studio version of this song.
Hey dude in the second lot of octaves when you go from 6 th fret octave to 7th fret octave to 2nd fret octave its very noticeable that the 2nd fret octave doesn't fit. Try going from 6th to 7th to 4th fret position instead. Then to the E chord. By ear it fits much better. Well done tho, better than the way that most play it on you tube. Guitar sounded nice.
your lesson was way better than the tabs cheers

how to do you make your guitar sound like that??
mine sound basic like.
kuntry3000 2 years ago
That is distortion or overdrive....your amp has to have the setting in...or you can buy a distortion pedal
otuonyec 2 years ago
that's good. i think we missed out on the oddball rhythm with the c#m on the 7th fret second string and the 5th fret second string
