@cheatingwanker That's a good question. The strength of a silverback can only be estimated. I've read that they are as strong as 10 olympic weight lifters. That seems a little high to me. Maybe 8? As for lion vs. gorilla that is also hard to say. Personally, again from what I've read, a lion would have a hard time killing a gorilla because the neck of gorilla is so big and lions kill by strangulation but in the end I think the lion would kill gorilla asuming it was hungry enough.

In terms of aggression ........favours the lion, as does attack strategy....natural predator. A singular lion.......hhmm I reckon he would wound the ape pretty good if he was determined but the gorilla has powerful teeth as well as those ridiculously long, strong arms. My money goes on the gorilla.
