  • The final is divine with this personage who after us tu have delivered his total disarray is feeling some doubt about the tenor of his dream that is well highlighted by the photos foggy of his beloved and the final guitar solo illustrated with a photo where the sun symbol of love has replaced the moon symbol of passing time

The bottom of this melody is that whatever your troubles you must project to the front because the passage of time delete everything

    French text translated by google

  • plunges us into the heart of profund tensions, apprehensions and internal contragictions. Its illustration with photos foggy and luminous photos that follow one another ans by a moon augury of bad presentiments speaks gor itself

The solo guitar following is a wise choice. By the fact that Peter GREEN has stopped singing we feel more intensively felt loneliness, solitude which ideally illustrated by the pictures of the boat and the water that follow one another from 7 to 8 times

  • Thank you for your vídeo which is part of my favorites

The pictures coupled so very judicious with the audio portion and what we feel are sublime

This solo of music delicate and subtle of the beginning of Peter GREEN is remarkable. It transports us into imaginary of the Moon, Astre nocturnal announcer of anguish symbolized by the empty boat and crossing the hands.

The following partition is striking. The slow voice, laden with feelings of Peter GREEN, one of the tops of the Slow slower,

  • There is no, "BEST," yet Greenie is in the top-one for tone, feel and soul... Did I say top "1?" Yeah, that's what I said... Luv, BluzKat

  • was any babies made to this song?

  • Are you sure this is 68? i didnt know Pete was this spiritual at that point in time

  • The best blues guitar player of all time bar none.

  • Tone to die for

  • Number one Peter Green. A distant two the rest

  • hendrix and green are different guitar players. both amazing. although I love hendrix's style, I think Green is one step better.. he sings better and with so much heart and blues its incredible. just my opinion though, dont get offended.

  • @hoibie in fact, green plays more with heart, and hendrix is a spiritexpenrience less bluesy, but more transcendantal/ it's they way i think. As guitarist^^ , and they both are my two favorite guitarist by far.

  • wow... awesome song!!!

  • I saw Hendrix. I'll take Green.

  • I fell asleep listening to someone's Fleetwood Mac playlist last night and this came on. About halfway through I jumped out of bed and saved this to my favorites. Incredible track.

  • Magical.

  • cheers to youtube...or else i wouldve never heard this work of art

  • Crazy good, i mean from another planet good. I thought the studio version was haunting...

  • "YOu know you make me feel good dont ya!" (Buddy Guy)

  • wheres the video????

  • This is so great!

  • This is the best shit I've ever heard in my life. If I couldn't hear this anymore, well I might as well just be dead.

  • I can smell the burning and hear the hissing of the Tubes in the amp. As time goes bye

there will fewer and fewer of us who know the difference between this and the digitized processed shit that is passed as music now

  • where can i get a copy of this?

  • hey mates the very best in badtimes irecon

    cheers on Mr. Green!!

    enno de bruyn

    no nicknames here!!

  • For the three dislikes, you are from the underworld.

  • ragingstorm33; i think fleetwoodmac forgot how good they were

  • The best ever

  • someone should show Fleetwood Mac that this is Fleetwood Mac

  • any one who says this is not blues, dont know what they are talking about,it dont come better than this

  • a voice to take me back in time

    perfect

  • bliss

  • This song/performance is amazing. I haven't been playing Peter Green in a year or so and just put him on today. This song is like definitive...you want to know what the Blues is? Here listen to this. So beautiful... so sad. the pacing of the music... so gorgeous. How amazing... this song captures everything there is heartbreaking about loving a woman... and losing her. OK... Done.

  • PLEASE DONT EVER TAKE THIS VIDEO OFF YOUTUBE!

  • Who are the 2 idiots who voted 'dislike' for this wonderful blues tune?

  • I have never written anything on youtube, and probably never will again. I will share this song with my mom because she gave me music and I want to do it before it is too late. It's the most amazing, pure thing I've ever listened to.

  • holy fuck, this is what i call damn good blues

  • "£$%? Yeah... SpLiRt!!! :o)

Without exception, Peter Green is simply the greatest British blues player of all time... Albeit, a very brief time. But his tone and technique were both unique and original - he was truly different class.

My God is the Green God - All hail the 'Green-Manalishi'!

  • sympathyfortheblues*

  • perfect... blues... i wonder which tear won the race

  • lol this song actually made random muscles in my body flex on beat

  • Astoundingly great playing - and singing! Not a great voice but a great singer.

Nobody better at this, black or white. So sincere and restrained.

  • god helped with this track i was told, but hey its just a feeling after all, god bless you peter green, we love you dearly sir.

  • Fantastic

  • sublime Blues!

  • Wow, what a wonderful recording, where did it come from? Just stunning!

  • I don´t believe in " best guitarist of the world", but when it comes to the real slow blues, I think Greeny is second to none. His tone, vibrato and feeling is out of this world !

  • @kinggreenbaum1966

Nowadays his voice is weak and betrays him unexpectedly (lumps on vocal chords?). That was clearly annoying him so much that he again pulled back from stage last August… (Peter Green and Friends)

Same trouble was disturbing Leonard Cohen (age 75 years) - but not anymore, Cohen’s voice is better than ever…

Read why, look comment on this YouTube-video:

PETER GREEN Oh well Albatros Live at Torrita Blues 2010 26 giugno

  • yuo should get sum sort of award for this ...AMAZIN !!!

  • Lord knows I love Jimi and Rory and BB and Eric and Mick and the Alberts and Freddie and Buddy but...Peter is almost untouchable at times like this. Great to see him still alive and playing. Nine lives blues indeed.

  • dammmmm this is good

  • If this doesn't give you chills check your pulse!!

  • thank u so much for this fantastic upload.

it's regrettable there weren't as many camcorders as nowdays!

but the most important is there right?

  • No doubt in my mind Peter Green is the best guitarist ever. Noone even comes close.....

  • This is Fleetwood Mac's first, or second night in the U.S. for the first time. This is before the Santana/Grateful Dead/"Bear"(Owsley Stanley) influence of hallucinogens. Peter Green was the master of the slow blues in either state. This is amazing.

  • The notes he doesn't play are as good as the ones he does. Greeny is the real deal. I could listen to him forever.

  • Nobody to this date shows more emotion playing the guitar than Mr. Peter Green does

  • This is blues

it aint gaudy it aint heavy

    its just the blues

  • I just had an ear orgasm.

  • @iguisard *eargasm*

  • Shit

  • It's too bad Peter took the trip and never came back he had so much more to sat to the world. What good song goddam

  • @Shortyrock1972

I am thankfull that he did, cos if he didnt we would have all this precious music to enjoy, same goes with all the musos that have falling like hendrix morrison etc

  • @Shortyrock1972 The Green God is back he just had a break! I saw him at The Basement in Sydney. He could still make me cry and send a shiver up my spine. His voice might be a bit more mature and fragile now. But wow, he can still really touch your heart with his guitar.

  • Be thank full you can hear this! I saw Peter many times live but never heard this. He is the master of light and shade harmony and discord and feeling that is virtually unparalled . The Guitar and man are still there but the drugs took away the playing. I still live in hope of another, Snowy white has played with Peter and still gives Peters music a place on stage.

  • This whole song is FUCKED IN THE HEAD!

  • what key is this song in? i MUST know. hah! its so good.

  • i think its G minor, but i could be wrong, and even if i am you are more likely to get a reply from someone eager to prove me wrong, happy days

  • SRV, Clapton, Jimi, Page, Beck, and everyone else, get in line- behind Peter Green

  • you said it

  • @Gto1927 Hendrix gets in a line behind nobody.

  • @Gto1927 too bloody right! he's so underestemated

  • @Gto1927 Yehh kind of... But I think EC singing is wonderful too. But I dont know if EC gtr is

better than PG. PG is more soulful...... EC Is faster in tempo but PG is more soulful..

    LOve...this kind of music....the BLUES...

  • oh my god

i've never heard anything like this, i love it

  • they play it oh so well... fantastic

  • simply beautiful.

  • White or black, blues is a feeling and since we are all the same, we all feel the SAME blues. Its how we translate it to an instrument. I don't care what color you are as long as you make me feel something.

This is great, just discovered this BTW

  • For sure ! Zep owes their fame to this band. Thank you for opening my world to this guys sound. So chilly

  • i got goosebumps from this.

  • It just doesnt get any better than Peter Green and FM

  • Fucking Wow.....Just fucking Wow*sigh*

  • The one and only Peter Green as always creating the "mood." Less is more and he was the master of pulling it off time after time after time. Total heartfelt playing and singing!

  • davvero stupendo,.-*-_- immagini e musica ti trasportano totAlmenteƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

  • I see the film artefacts.. who made this and when?

  • The Art of Subtlety

  • I dunu somone correct if im wrong but youtube was created so we can hear this clip! this is the best fuckin clip on youtube...i'v heard this drunk high sober hundredds of times....peter allan greenbaum...the best...zul zein gezunt

  • Piękny Blues

  • Thanks for posting this

    GREEN IS GOD

  • Epic.

  • i wish i could play blues, let alone play the guitar haha! so i could just retire into my bedroom when im feeling down and play my heart out. you cant really do that with drums bcus its just BASH CLANG! lol.

  • Yeah, but when you're pissed, nothin beats a set of drums to take out some hostility. I recommend Pearly Masters Customs.

  • im not made of money mate haha! but im trying to calm myself down on the drums these days. ive gotten through many skins and cymbols :P but at least im playing it ;) peace :D

  • this is a truly great track, and good video too!

  • i have been spellbound by peters playin since i was a kid.... still am.....somethin inside of him, that very few posess.

  • @cruuuuuzz manic depression?

  • truely exquisite! non better!

  • Hallelujah!

  • Brothers ! Let it soak in as far as it can go, get everything there is to get from Greeny because no one will ever be able to do this again !

  • You said it! The best have tried, and failed. Gary Moore couldn't even handle Green tunes and he is probable the the closest possibility.

  • @bluestingray67 GREENY IS SIMPLY AMAZING.MIKE BLOOMFIELD AND PETER GREEN ARE THE BEST.BAR NONE!!!

  • @bluestingray67 Yeesssssssssss !!!!!

  • @bluestingray67 can it be imagined that Anyone else is god of ...this music. I wish Eric would make and effort to recognize...Mr. Green...

  • @bluestingray67 I am so thankful for this post..Would be remarkable if Clapton would accurately weigh in on his Bluesbreaker replacement and place all the rest in context. Thanks for posting friend!

  • The pure expression is evident here but I believe we all have the ability to show emotion.

With Peter, it was that his passion would flood out like a burst dam!

    Wonderful man.

    Jeff Makor

  • Oh My God....No one compares to Peter Green....

  • pete green is god not clapton

  • like that

  • WOW!! I thought I had every live recording that F.M. made with Greeny, but i do not have this. Can anyone tell me where to find it??

  • man i would give anything to play like peter green. apart from my two hands obviously :-) no one ever played the blues better than greeny!

  • and your ears>?

  • brilliant

  • How does this only have 22,000 views. Great song

  • I think 21,000 of them are by me.

  • Pete at his best. Also a very apt track if you think of the mental turmoil he was experiencing around this time, it must have come from the soul.

    steve.

  • This is sweet,sweet pain.

  • The guitar is crying.

  • So am I...

  • Hooray for youtube ! All this great Peter Green material is out now and being shared amongst those who love his music.Thank you for posting this track.

  • Why hasn't anyone put Peter Green's "Drifting" on youtube yet? WTF?! It's his best work.

  • @ORELUR: Totally agree.

  • most of the time in blues simplicity is the key to a soulful, breathtaking performance...speaking from experience

  • I agree with davetowers1, this is just about as good as it gets. Pure, emotional blues guitar playing that I've never heard bettered. Brings tears to my eyes.

  • Great song. I had a worried dream this morning.

  • its like this. Blacks invented the art form and have produced some monumental guitarists. But there is something about whiteys blues that surpasses their( blacks) approach. Most black guitarists bore me to death. Maybe because whitey had to work that much harder to prove himself. dunno. all i know is i have yet to find a bro that can phrase like peter. to quote bb king, ' peter green has more talent in his pinky finger than i have in my entire body.'

  • What about James Marshall Hendrix. Have you ever heard him play the blues?

  • LOL :))))

  • the ability to play the blues doesn't have anything to do with the colour of one's skin.

btw. listen to jimi hendrix, bb king, albert king, freddie king, ronnie baker brooks and robert johnson. i don't think they'll bore you ^^

  • There's nothing about Hendrix's other tunes that would make me desire to seek more from him. I'm not into all that silly fancy shit. Just want to hear great guitar work. You want to make a guitar smoke, while you play behind your back and then smash it? Go play in the circus while I listen to Peter Green.

  • hey jimi is a fucking good blues player though when he isn't doing all that fancy shit and he is just there playing

  • well yeah. red house at the IOW 1970 :-p

  • perhappenstance, what a stupid thing to say, black guys with a british accent rare!not if your black and from britain, another 19yr old american putting the world to rights...hmmm

  • The whole white dudes playing the blues idea always makes me think of black guys with a genuine british accent: rare, awesome, and makes you double check your eyes (and in this case, ears).

  • I don't think George Carlin probably knew a whole lot about the blues. Same old politically correct conceits. If you say it enough times most people take it to be a truism.

  • 10********** PETER GREEN is AWESOME

  • peter green is without a doubt my biggest influence.. its faultless. best blues ever if you ask me. such a good song from an amaze album

  • AMAZING.... WOW

  • George Carlin was so wrong. White men can play blues. If this was recorded 1968, I completely missed out FWM and re-think of Peter Green.

  • George Carlin was wrong, white men(G. Moore, E. Johnson, A. Lee, J. Winter) can play and sing a blues.

  • George Carlin was just trying to make some black friends when he said this. The best way to make black friends is to put down whity

  • amen...I get tired of their sense of entitlement too

  • GENIAL

  • Call me stupid but he so reminds me of Janis Joplin's guitarist, Sam Sheppard!

  • LEGEND

  • Sorry typo that's "this"

  • I don't think blues comes much better than think. Peter Green is utterly awesome & I don't know of anyone who can play like that. I like & appreciate Hendrix, Clapton, Knopfler & many others but they couldn't play like this, as good as in their own way but this is mind blowing!

  • I don't know why ppl think bb king is this "great blues gd",,,

i think he was a dencent jazz /blues artist,,,,,his songs only sound good when ppl like peter green play them

  • if your a fan of peter green and you know what hes all about, this is some of his most mature playing and one of the greatest recordings of all time.

  • Oh my god.

  • Are you kidding with that name???

You need to get "gang-raped" by a bunch of

    "brothers" - MLC

  • because you are so much better than him by perpetuating stupid stereotypes and suggesting he be raped over a stupid username.

racist fucks need to gtfo. you are watching blues which black people created duh.

  • so what peter green isnt black

  • what the hell are both talking about?

  • You can see why BB King told Clapton & G. Harrison, back in the 60's that Peter was the

Best of the English Blues guitarists!!!!

    MLC

  • I was there that weekend in '68 but I don't remember "Worried Dream." The acts used to play Fri Sat nites and Sun afternoons. He must have played it on another day. I would have gone wild! I was listening everyday to BB's version on the album "Blues on Top of Blue's." Haven't seen that one in quite a long while!

  • The best Fleetwood Mac was with P Green. Like the best Genesis was with P Gabriel.

    Thanks 4 posting this. ;)

  • Wow! Great! I heard Peter Green/F.Mac live one night in '68 at the Carousel Ballroom (Fillmore West). This must have been that same weekend! (No D. Kirwan). It blew me sidewayz and I'm still goin.' There were big changes in my blues band after that. I went back and heard 'em (same Place) the following year with Danny K. Many Thanks!

  • AMAZING.....Peter Green was one-of-a-kind.....I always found it incredible that he wasn't more popular over here.

  • Peter Green was very popular where I lived (SF suburb) among guitar players. Everybody was trying to sound like Clapton then. After awhile people were doing a blend of Clapton and Green. I never really was a fan until I saw Pete's Mac at Fillmore West in SF.

  • Peter Green Blues Guitarist, Extraordinaire!

  • love it.

  • the greatest recording i've ever heard . . .

  • Aw yeah - there is ONLY ONE Greeny! Love it!

Would love to see some live video of him from the 1970s doing Proud Pinto, Seven stars etc. Anyone got that?

Thanks Peter, if you ever read this!

Even the feeedback squeaks seem somehow appropriate, LOL!

  • He still is!!

  • Peter Green was such an honest, tortured, beautiful soul - the patience in his phrasing, the pain, the love - true blues!

  • Perfect! Guitar..but drums too. Gentle, touch.

  • Tone to die for.

  • I'm speechless after listening to that!

  • Young Peter Green was one of my favourite guitarists.
